Power Antenna

Can someone post a pic of an antenna that goes on a TTA? I have a line on one NOS that supposedly works and is the same one? Does anyone have a part number?

I'm looking for someone to send me a pic of what their antenna looks like already mounted on the car (the bezel, nut, and where the antenna sits higher or lower in the mast) this way I can judge what to buy since my antenna must have been replaced at some time with a standard GM replacement ... it works great but I was told by the judges at the reunion that it isn't original.

I noticed this at the reunion also. On some cars the trim nut was chrome, others were black. Which one is the correct one? My car has black.

The bezel on my 1983 Automatic Daytona Pace Car is chrome and I bought it new off the showroom floor in 1983.

All of my 1983 5-Speed Daytona Pace Cars and both of my 15th Anniversary Cars have the black bezels.

I figured that the chrome door handle cars in 1983 should have had the chrome antenna bezels installed and the black door handle cars should have had the black ones.

I am not sure if the base 1989 Firebirds had chrome door handles and bezels but if they did, it just could have been that the installer grabbed the wrong one from the parts bin or there was a shortage of the black ones during that cars assembly.
 
Could someone take a few minutes and take some detailed pics of the nut, bezel, where the mast sits inside the housing, and maybe what the tip looks like when it's raised?

I got pictures at home of NOS correct partnumber antenna assemblies I can post however out of the country at the moment (Chicago) so will have to be mid next week ...
 
Hmmm ... I never thought of it that way TTOP ... but now that you mention it ...

Jan that would be AWESOME and it seems that is going to be my only option at this point ... let me know ... and ENJOY CHICAGO!!!! It's a great city and if you want some awesome food (quality and quantity of meats all you can eat) I recommend Fogo De Chao! It's a Brazilian Tapas Restaurant ... it's fairly expensive (say $60.00 with tax and tip) but you will not regret it and it'll be an experience you'll relish.

Thx, Fogo De Chao is just 5 min or so from where I'm staying so might try that one!

The antenna is NOS new and it's the correct one. The bezel and nut are the correct ones. Years ago I ordered 30 pieces of each. This is what you need. My digital camera took a crap. If you want I can txt you pics?
