Jan - if you find another color, buy it and dye it. I have had success with SEM paint, and I heard that PPG can make exact colors. I dyed a console armrest in my daily driver years ago, and the paint never wore off - and I abuse that poor car! It is all in the prep. Make sure you use the plastic prep before you spray it, and that paint is never coming off.
And for those who spoke to me about Modern Muscle ... Perry ... I sent him ANOTHER EMAIL last night (that's 3 since I purchased the antenna nut) and have yet to hear back from him. I sent him payment for 3 antenna nuts and paid via paypal immediately ... have yet to hear back any confirmation of my order, my payment, or my inquiries. Getting just a bit frustrated with him at this point.

Yes I would be interested, but I would want to see pictures first. It would have to be perfect for that price. When do you plan on going over there? I would also be interested in the GM plain black manual shifter knob from 82 cars. It might be for 83 and 84 Trans Am's also. I know the early camaro is different than the TA.
Never had a problem with him when ordering parts and most of the time having him ship across the pond ... maybe he's away

Hey Philly - I have one more thing you can look out for. I need a top plate for a console for an 82-84 Firebird. It is the part with the gear indicator on it for an automatic car. If you find one that has no cracks where the screw holes are, I would buy it. Mine is perfect except for those cracks. Anyway - good luck with the show. It sounds like a good time.

Exactly why I'm going to stop selling rare parts here or anywhere else. People have lives and in my case a job I work hard at 40 hrs+ a week without notice.
Just because you send someone money instantly that doesn't mean your part is going out yesterday.
These are car parts not peoples lives that are being saved on an operating table.
I don't think getting aggravated is going to get you parts any faster. In my case my parts, alot of them are in my garage up top. I have to look through boxes and boxes I've had 10 yrs + besides moving a project TA out of the way to get a ladder there to get up there.
I have brand new power antennas with nuts washers and the whole 9 yards, I purchased some time ago and when it comes to putting these cars together I'm a stickler for detail. For those of you who have ants in your pants and can't wait I apologize as I feel this won't go over good with you.
One thing that comes to mind is Scott Kelly making a site for you guys for these cars. He's taking time from his busy life to do it. Why don't you try sending him money and then when he dosen't respond immediately get aggravated and keep pestering him with emails and tell everyone on this board how slow he is.
Slow down...enjoy life and your Turbo TA's and dont' expect people to be as fast as you.
Not trying to offend anyone here just don't really appreciate the rush rush attitude and i sent money where's my stuff...
When someone has over 28,000 reviews on ebay from selling their parts I think that's a full time business ... what do you think?
And if you ever decide to sell some of those pars here are anywhere else I'm thinking just telling people that you won't respond in a week or more is fair just in case they have the audacity to think that a website advertising parts with pictures of those same parts may actually be available for shipping ... what do you think?
Last, I think when a website has a check-out and asks for paypal payment and that email from paypal is sent to the seller I don't think an email response is such a big deal to ask for ... what do you think?

And if you can't get back to buyers within a week for an email verification then I think you ought to tell your customers that ... what do you think?

I had to contact Perry through Ebay since he was not answering his website email. He told me that the package was in fact sent (but without a tracking number) and the post office lost or couldn't account for the package. He sent me one nut (I ordered 3) and refunded me the difference. I am awaiting the product to arrive but this time it has a tracking number.
Just to be totally upfront for full disclosure.
