Power Antenna

I ordered them immediately but as I said I have yet to hear from him and I payed by paypal immediately.

I guess I'll wait until I hear from him unless I find it somewhere else. The ones on ebay are chrome and not plastic.
the one i have is neither chrome or plastic, oem, i guess thats why they are hard to find

So ask the man on the link I sent you to send you the dash for $175 including the shipping? It can't hurt to ask. You never know right?

Good luck with it.

??? and no one wants to sell me a power antenna nut? I sent Modern Muscle payment for his through PayPal but haven't heard back. He sells a boatload of NOS parts on ebay so I assume he's legit. Maybe he's on vacation? I hope to hear back soon and if I do I'll have a few to have for backup as well.

Have a great Labor Day weekend btw everyone!

Yeah hes a good guy, Ive been to his house. you'll get the part(s) or a refund if stock is gone.

I'll have to check into it-thanks. Heard those dash pads are hard to ship though and sometimes get broken. That would suck.:cry:Or are you talking about Modern day muscle?

I ordered some stuff from Modern Day muscle - he shipped quick, and everything was good stuff.

Seems like as soon as you place your order from Modern Day Muscle you are getting a e-mail saying it is being shipped.

Have done a lot of shopping with them, both NOS and used. Have always been happy with their products and service.

Yep that's who I purchased the parts from, paid the invoice immediately via PayPal to Perry the owner who is PerryPam (?) on ebay ... that was Tuesday night I believe (Wed???) and haven't heard. I'm thinking he's on vacation because he sells alot of stuff off ebay (mostly NOS I believe) and I even believe I've purchased stuff from him before off ebay ... so I'm not too concerned. Hope he gets to me soon so I can install the antenna if everything else is there.

KYMME ... you can get insurance for around $5.00 through UPS for a $200 item so if it breaks they will refund your money.

There was an NOS one on ebay (still there?) for $1,200 just to compare. Not sure if it was Rohnhaz (sp?) or Perrypam who was selling it.

Can't tell if the NOS one is 82-84 or later style. You have to really want it to spend that kind of coin on a dash pad.

I didnt see one on ebay for $1200. I only saw one that said it was from an 84 car, but the pictures were not clear enough to confirm that. I have bought several things from Rohnaz and he has quality stuff. Sometimes you do have to pay a pretty high price for his parts. I scored a Mecham Glendale license plate holder in mint condition, but it was a bidding war. I only got it because the item timed out in my favor, the other bidder wanted it as bad as me. But its a great compliment to the car and probably will never see another one for sale in that condition.

Guys, thanks for all your help. My cracked NOS one has a different part #. I need the GM 1-3222. Its really hard to tell on a lot of those on ebay, they dont show it close enough. Notice on the picture how the front has grooved lines in it-that is the correct one. I agree that one for $1200-geez you could buy the whole car for that much!

Ah ... the grooved lines! OK ... now I can see what I find. If I see one or find one I'll let you know. In fact I'm going to check out a guy who's selling a bunch of parts for cheap with supposedly our color interior plastic parts. We'll see ...

Yeah he actually put that up there for me ... I emailed him asking him if he had any.

I just purchased it. Now if I get a better one great but if not I've got one and the NOS antenna can be put on ...

Thanks for the heads-up Jan

KYMME ... I've got a line on an '84 dash pad in excellent condition on the other side of the Michigan ... may be going to pick up other parts. He says it's the '84 version (and from an '84 Trans Am) and wants $140.00 for it. Let me know ... if you want it it's yours for $140 plus shipping ... He has other parts I would want to go get so there's no cost for me to go get it or haul it back. Of course if it's not in excellent condition I wouldn't pick it up. I could even take pictures and email them right to you from there. Let me know ...

BTW, he says he has plenty of parts like '89 dash pads, etc etc. so if anyone is seeking anything now is the time to tell me and I'll see what I can do.

Beechwood trim piece above rear seats covering the hatch hinges in the roof ... really nice as the holes tend to crack ...

Jan - that is a tough piece. Every time I find a good one it has holes in it from a roof console. I wonder if there is a way to repair the plastic in the screw holes, as the one on my 82 is perfect besides that issue.

Not following you, holes from a roof console? They don't run all the way back there? Or do you mean the 91/92 model that have the 3rd brake light up there?
