what you think of theses Sinistta weld wheels

BTW, I've also contacted CCW about them building me a set of their LM20 wheels for my TTA. I'm looking to put 17x10.5 on the rear with a set of MT 295/45-17 dragradials. The fronts will be 17x7 with a 225/45-17 on the front.

The nice thing about CCW is they will anodize the centers gold just like the factory rims. I've seen this rim on other cars and it is simply a work of art.

You can see the rim here - Complete Custom Wheel - Wheel Profiles

Well, a couple things...
1. Weld will NOT make custom backspace in the Magnum style rim, and they only make even number in that rim - 4.0, 5.0, etc...

2. Just the other day I mounted up a Centerline rim that was 15x10 with a 6.5 backspace. On this rim I mounted a MT 275/60-15 drag radial. Let me tell you that thing fit PERFECT under the car. Only one area that it rubbed just a bit, and that was on the inside front edge of the inner fender well. It could have been gently massaged to make it fit. From my personal experience, I think a 5.5 backspace on a 10inch wide rim would stick the tire out too far past the top edge of the fender.

3. I then put a 1/2 inch spacer behind the rim to equate a 15x10 with 6 inches of backspace. Several guys were there with me when I did this. Each one of them felt that it caused the rim/tire combo to stick about 1/4 of an inch too far past the top of the fender. We had a straight edge with us and when we set it up against the floor and tire, it clearly was sticking out just past the fender.

Personally, I didn't like it like that. I don't want the tire to stick out past the top edge of the fender AT ALL. To me, it just looks too hoopty and ghetto. I like them to be tucked.

However, I may have discovered a solution today. Weld actually makes the Magnum rim in this odd size - 15x9.25 w/6 inch back space. This slightly narrower rim with 6 inches of backspace might just do the trick. I don't know for sure yet, but I'm going to do some more measuring.
