what you think of theses Sinistta weld wheels

How you like the look of these wheels on a TTA. I think these weld magnums help the TTA stand out in the sea of white GTA's.

I have looked at those. I REALLY like the rears. I think the fronts would look much better with a polished outer rim instead of gold all the way to the tire.

Great looking car! I think there is somebody in Indiana building a real fighter with those same wheels - saw it over on turbo buick with a link to thirdgen.org

Thanks for the response ... I had the 2 peice wheels on the front of my GN for yrs with the polished aluminum ring an anodized gold center. The thing is i like the larger circles and these fronts are 1 peice so u cant have a polished lip. And the 1 peice wheels are feather light. My GN has a blown headgasket an was on the lift so i decided to see how these wheels would look on the TTA.

tta299 what did you do with the 2 piecers? I'd love to see a TTA with those. I understand the reason for the light wieght ones but appearance would be worth the weight to me.

Either way the weld wheels make it look much more like a race car. If that is the look you're going for that is great. I am planning to stick with stock wheels so people don't know whats coming. Love the look when you've just smoked an unsuspecting mustang with an old V6 GTA, lol!

I really like the way those rims look on that car. However, I would agree with the others who said that the two-piece front runner with the polished lip looks better than the all gold one-piece.

Do you have any pictures with a two-piece front rim? I saw the one posted by another guy, but its hard to see the fronts in his photo because of the angle that the car is sitting at when the photo was snapped.

I'm buying one of these cars again, and I will definitely put these rims on it!

not on the TTA here they are on my GN

I've done some research on these particular rims for the TTA. According to our local high performance wheel/tire shop in our area, the TTA rear needs a backspace of 7-7.5 on it.

However, the Weld Magnum 2.0 (which is what these rims are) comes with a maximum of 6.0 backspacing. They are telling me this will stick the rim out just past the edge of the fender (if you go with a 15x10 rim... I wanted to run a 275/60-15 dragradial), or right even with it. Once the car squates under acceleration, the tire would be rubbing the top of the fender. It appears that this is the case in these photos and shouldn't be surprising given the fact that the wheels are off a GN.

So, long story short, if you want these rims on your TTA, and you want them to fit correctly, you would have to shorten your axles and housing to make them fit right.

I have airbags to keep the squat to a minimum ... and yes these are GN wheels just put them on the TTA for now because i blew a hg on the buick. Those are 275/60's in the TTA pics

Its close to working with GN wheels

The fronts fit perfect on your car. If the backspace was even just a 1/2 inch in then those rims would look perfect. This would also allow the car to be lowered slightly without fear of the tire rubbing the fender.

I really wish Weld would make this rim in our needed offset because it looks amazing on these cars.
