TTA Diecast

Couple of questions.
1. Where is everyone ordering theirs, I see they are available at www.diecastmuscle.com for $48.89 and at www.minimusclecars.com for $50.99 with free shipping
2. When you go to http://minimusclecars.com./1989-pontiac-trans-am-indy-500-pace-car-c-354-p-1-pr-17445.html and click on Enlarge Image, it shows the TTA as a hardtop ?

1. Minimusclecars.com was mentioned to me by the guy I have been working with to produce the model at Greenlight. He said that they sell every model that they make, which is the reason they're the only ones that sell the special models like the gold and silver ones. So you can consider them a reliable place to order them from in my opinion, I don't know about any of the others.

2. The larger picture is still a t-top car but the light reflecting off the plastic makes it look like it's white. I saw that car in person and played around with it some. It's going to nice being able to remove the t-tops when displaying it, you can see the interior detail much better then.

These cars have are now SOLD OUT. To get placed on a list (just in case some one cancel one) please us the contact us form at the top of our site and Email us - we will let you know if any more become availible.

To those of you who bought more than one after my post that these 24K Gold TTA's even existed - be a man and offer your extra pre-orders to your fellow board members that would like to have one.

I don't want to hear excuses about free enterprise and the American way.

Damn I didn't even see the gold ones! I totally missed that boat! I told Jeff to throw one on pre-order or order if someone bails out for me. I think it's mostly distributors buying up and selling these things right out of the gate. I see they are even popping up on ebay by some of the distributors!

You know these cars are going to be whored out on eBay for awhile!

That'd be great if someone would offer me one of their extra 'pre-ordered' gold TTA die-casts  I'd appreciate it very much!

Curious as to what kind of feedback this eBay seller's going to get if the release date gets pushed back some more!:D Don't count your chickens till the eggs hatch!

No I've talked with the guy who originally started the project who I've been working with and he said they're on the way to the distributors. People should be getting them within the next 2 weeks.

Great news to hear of course, but I would never try to sell something on eBay that hasn't even been released yet. I just wouldn't like the idea of putting deadlines on myself that couldn't be met due to circumstances that are totally out of my control. I realize the seller doesn't really have a deadline in this case but the buyer could still leave negative feedback and say the seller was slow to ship the item. Good for the seller if he can make a few bucks on this but personally I'd wait until I have the item in hand first before posting it for sale.

I just hope I get car 396! I think I pre-ordered about that many now! :D

And I'll sell it to you for that many dollars if I get it!!!:D J/K, I'll make an even trade with anybody if I get their number...like I said before though, hopefully I wouldn't have to do this too many times--I don't want to end up spending more than I did on the model to keep shipping them out...:wall:

Honestly, and at the risk of sounding a bit tacky, I think the most fair thing to do in these even trades is to have the person who's getting their actual TTA number out of the trade cover all shipping costs. This way even the people that end up having to do multiple trades only have to pay for shipping once, when they finally manage to get their number. I realize this would mean the non-TTA owners such as myself (I do hope to get one someday; they're beautiful cars!) would not end up paying at all, but we're also the ones that aren't going to benefit in any way from the trade. Seems reasonable to me anyway, and a small price to pay to get a model that matches your car.

From what I understand they all will be numbered. We have a thead going about who wants what car numbers. That's why I pre-orderd a few dozen of them :)

If they are numbered I would be happy to trade to help everyone get there car number.
the cars should be numbered but they won't be numbered on the boxes. They told me they wouldn't number the boxes since they'd had problems with employees of distributors in the past selectively buying specific numbers.

Email sent to George. Hope Im not too late to try and get my #

We've already established in earlier posts that you can't order a specific number; and they've had way more than 335 preorders by this time. Which is why we're going to have a clusterf**k of trading going on when they do finally arrive...

thats what I figure! Should be nuts. That's why I pre-ordered so many. Figure I'll make sure no one needs the numbers and keep a few and sell the rest off. I would think most of the guys knew about it here on this board first so hopefully the first 1500 out of the pre-orders come here to board members! :)

Not everyone is like you Philly, and orders 2 dozen! :WOOT:

Heck, I haven't even ordered one yet! Figured I'd wait until it was really close and not be frustrated by delay after delay.

just because you get your preorder in early doesn't mean anything. Since they're being shipped to different distributors the numbers will be all over the place. Also I imagine the distributors will just grab one out of the box and package it up as they go down the list in no particular order.

Somebody goofed and moved the release date the wrong way this time...

When I last checked supercar1.com (the website I placed my preorder on), they were expecting to have TTAs in stock on Tuesday Sept. 30th. Here's the latest word copied & pasted from them:

This product is expected to be in stock approximately Tuesday 16 September, 2008.

YAYYY!!! 2 weeks earlier! And only 5 more days from now!!!:WOOT::dance::clap::headbang::bounce:

Yep 15th seems to be the date where I preordered my 3 TTA's .... can't wait

By the way anyone seen the 1:18 scale hardtop GTA's from Greenlight? Take a look at the rear seats (TTA/notchback style), boost gauge in there, underside have the TTA intercooler scoop, TTA transmission cross member and the TTA dual tip exhaust! Talk about Re-use! So to make a hardtop TTA would not be too difficult.
