That looks like a pretty nice car for not a ton of money... for someone just looking for a good time(?)

Didn't look too flashy... a real S-L-E-E-P-E-R?

Jim Dunn built an GN powered IROC Z way back in late 80's in white .. It was in the 11's.
(that would be Jim Dunn of Turbo Buick Performance - Near Philly)

Sounds nice... & quick.
Is there anything that Jim hasn't converted to GN-power DontKnow:

It may be an 84, but it has the incorrect ground effects (looks like a late 80's camaro). A true 84 doesnt have a brake light integrated in the rear spoiler. A nice car none the less, but I am maybe a little partial as an 84 z28 L69 HO used to be in the family.

wow, that Camaro does look clean, I remember around schaumburg someone had a turquoise convertible camaro with a gn motor in it, might of been Mike, nevertheless it looks good,,,even renamed it GNZ ..

I remember that camaro, use to come to Fluky's all the time...Me and Chris K literally lived there at times....Lookin to buy a TTA for export to the UK and been looking at TTA 426 on ebay, (link in earlier post) but the wear looks more than the mileage stated...I know these TTA's you were able to disconnect the speedo which in turn did not put any miles on it (had a few TA'a myself)...so this one looks worn and look at the seats, the leather is worn and discolored for that mileage...I dobn't know might be just me but they sure went up in price dramatically...

This Calypso Green Camaro? lol I wish I still owned that car, but it now looks like this. That Camaro has the same ground effects mine did and they were for the 90-92 models.

Yes Mike, thats the one I admired...I was 16 at the time but Chris K already had his TTA, you sometimes use to come to Fluky's...is it still yours?? That was the ultimate sleeper eveyone thought it was a 5.0 throttle body...I bet you broke a few egos with that...It was times of Dr Boost, KilerV6, and that Camaro, that were ones to watch out for...I was not as fortunate, but did have a one of a kind canary yellow gta once owned by the ceo of general motors. There was no yellow GTA's in '91, but the ceo requested one and the year after in '92 they made 56, but not in canary yellow, they were panama yellow which looked a bit faded...and countless other 3-4 gen TA's...

Jim Dunn built an GN powered IROC Z way back in late 80's in white .. It was in the 11's.

Hey guys Steve Kaminski did the swap for me when I was 23.
I bought it new 1989,when I was 20 years old. Traded in a 1986 Trans Am-black/gold,screaming eagle,ttops & a five speed.:headbang:

The Iroc was a 5.7 TPI with 2.77 gears. It ran a 14.50@93,stock??
In the next couple years I managed to twist Steve's arm to add some bolt on's to the TPI & a 3.45 rear out of a TPI 5 speed car. It ran a 13.80@100 on the radials. "Twisted his arm" because, he said I was wasting my time with the v8. He was a few years into his Buick Turbo obsession, with a swap already performed on his 85 TA & his then girlfriends 1989 Formula 350 Firebird. He said you need a GN motor in that thing.Well with 28,000 miles on the clock & still making payments, out came the 5.7 & in went a TTA motor!
My Father almost had a heart attack, seeing a nearly new car coming apart!!

It ran a 11.73@114 its first time out. It was in Turbo Magazine twice ,Buick news letters & on My Classic Car.The car is still local with only 43,000 miles on it. It has had a few hand on it :(, since Steve built it and I sold it 1996,but is still super clean.
Back then if you went street racing in Philly, you better look out for any Buick powered F body's that crossed your path or any Buick turbo Steve touched!
Those where the days ,we had so much fun.
In the early years you could street race till 3-4am & the police never even showed up!

Thanks for all the great memories Steve!!

(Turbo Mag got the year wrong,it was a 1989)
