Indy Decals Like Them or Not?

I suppose what I have is not from pheonix graphics than. Good to know that the ones from pheonix are correct according to Scotts door pic.

Scott how much were the decals from pheonix anyway??

The windshield decal from Phoenix Graphix is off the most, on the ends with the Indy logo.
The real ends were a clear decal, with the white showing thru underneath.
A place in georgia, I believe, had the originals, but lost the rights.
Phoenix Graphic's are way off.
I would never use them for the windshield.
I have 3 sets, but they are all still in the owner's kits still, and I'm not messing with those.
Doesn't bother me if cars have the decals on or not.
Mine doesn't.

Close, the company is in NC but they don't sell the decals anymore. Motorsports Designs is the name. I used to have a bunch of spares in a box from they and they were just like the originals, down to the 3M material.

My $.02 on the subject, my old car originally had the decals on being a festival car but somewhere along the way they got removed. I liked the car without them, giving it a little more of a stealthy look. I had plenty of decal sets I could have put on and was tempted a few times but never did install them.

I think Festival cars should have them, but otherwise prefer them without.

As for Phoenix Graphix decal kit, I have it on #124 and it's good enough for me but I'm not a perfectionist. My biggest complaint is the price on what seems like a fairly simple kit.

You are right, I went out to the garage today to look it up.
I can't believe that I couldn't remember their name.
Getting old I guess.
I did pick up some extra sets of door decals from them, I believe 2-3 sets.
I just wish I had some spare windshiend decals, I like them on the car by themselves.

I think the car looks better without the door decals. My car has them on and I'm glad for mostly the same reasons mentioned above. Without they just blend in to easily. I do not care for the windshield decal.

Thanks all for chiming in on the thead. I think I will install a full set. After seeing a few at the TA Nationals I liked them.

If one of you guys could take some measurements I would really appreciate it. A dimension from the body molding to the bottom ofthe decal and from the back of the the door. Also from top of the windshield to the top of the decal.

I like them ON the car, because they look too much like GTA's without them.

People that dont know what the cars are ALWAYS give me a smart remark about it, but thats fine.

I would want exact repros though, the pics of the Ebay ones were just way off ---

I have been on and off the fence about this for years with my car. It always seems to be a 50/50 thing when you ask people about doing this. I think for the TTA reunion I'm going to put them on finally and see how I like them on the car. I have 3 extra sets of decals now so putting a set on won't make me cry if I don't like it and want to take them off.
