Hello,
New member here, first post and proud to be an owner of a TTA. I have been reading many posts made on this forum back many years. I recently bought a car previously owned by member Lynn Brown. I am not sure how to search for old posts and communications possibly made by Lynn, but I have my hands full trying to get this car that has been parked possibly 10-15 years from what I was told by the seller. Perhaps some of you may know him.
There are all kinds of wiring and things done years ago. I am simply trying to get the car running and put back to stock as much as possible. I have my hands full. Trying to find any history I can on the car. It came with no manual, no service records, nothing at all. All fluids in the car stale/dirty/low and likely typical for car parked a long time. As I have worked to clean the car, do some fluid, filter, vacuum leak search, and hose changing I have no turbo boost/gauge not working (as I see many have posted about over the years). Nobody I have asked seems to know what size/type of injectors the car has. It has a Turbonetics 60 turbo which seems to ok from visual inspection, wastegate actuator moves at 10-11 psi.
Before I changed the oil filter I noticed fresh oil leaking below it. I tried to tighten both nuts on the sending unit but they are tight. Put new filter on, still leaking fresh oil from under the filter, hard to tell if from filter seal or the sending unit below it or both. Is this a common thing? What is the fix?
Just looking for anyone with any knowledge about this specific car or just in general that may help me get it running like it should.
