Weighed the TTA

Quiky One

Just got back from weighing it at a CAT scales scale. The car weighed 3560 with 1/2 a tank of gas, Kenny Brown SFC's, 3" DP and single shot exhaust, and 45 lbs of stereo equipment. Otherwise the car is stock weight wise.

And here is the shocker..I actually drove the car there. :jaw: It was hot as heck too. 103 degrees...

imagine that, Jason actually drove his TTA maybe he's taking his own advice now :eam:
haha and im done for awhile. I drove down there 20 miles and I cooked. :beach: These damn ttops make the interior like a sauna. 103 degrees today. The coolant ran a steady 168. Then I hit the exit only to find there had been a wreck. I sat there and didn't move for 10 minutes and the coolant hit 198. I pulled in weighed got back in the car and the coolant was 204. Started driving got on the higway and turned the AC on. :toot:  The coolant ran about 190 on the way home and dropped down in the 170's when I shut the AC off.

That is the difference between a non grill car and a grill car. My dads GN runs 175 MAX in these temps and on the higway will run in the 160's. All that driving made me tired. haha
