water coming thru hood vents into front of engine

I noticed when I wash the TTA that water will come thru front hood vents. The metal assy where the hood latch sits gets some water on it.

Are there supposed to be plugs in the holes near the PAS sticker, like 4 round holes, as shown in pic 1.

Nope no plugs in any of those 4 holes ... there's holes further to the sides (so closer to the fenders) where there's a plug (one on each side) but that is it ...

So yes some water could make it down there :-(

Thanks Jan, I have one plug on each side, near fender. So I guess it is the way it is supposed to be.:cheers:

Yep "as designed" by GM .. not necessarily the best design :teehee:
