WANTED: new pair of NOS Fender emblems

BuickGN

TTA# 130
Looking for a new pair of NOS Fender emblems. Our house had a fire, didn't get to the garage or parts room. But cleanup crew had to move everything out. Thought I had a pair but can't remember. Have collected all other emblems but need that pair to make complete. Want to keep everything is original as possible. Might just have to break down and buy a whole set of the reproductions. I wouldn't want to mix them. Please come through, somebody!

Thanks for the info. There is no GM parts bag and a guy said that's how he got them back in 89. How do I distinguish an original from the new ones going around?

Quickest way to spot them is by the orange backing peel off tape and it sticks out one one side to be able to easily pull it off ... none of the reproductions have that (and I don't think they use the orange colored ones either as carmotorsposrts.com use an ornage with 3M logo in white on theirs and gtaemblems.com if I remember correct is all white).

when I looked at the eBay posting I saw that tab you were talking about to make it peal easy and no white writing on the orange peel. Looks like they are real then. Thanks for the info. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220647410145&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

There is nothing wrong with using NOS GM parts on these cars.
And they should stick good, even after all these years.
Even if they don't, alittle glue will work.
I myself use original GM NOS, not aftermarket.

George
