I sure as hell don't most of the time. :chair: :chair:

What should have been a 3 hour turbo install turned out to be almost an 8 hour one. If it could have gone wrong it did go wrong. Turbo clocked wrong, bolts not lining up, ect. My hands are stained orange from copper gasket sealant and anti seize...

So I finally finish and I start it up. Friggin thing is leaking oil like a fire hydrant at the feed line to the turbo. Not the feed line but at the actual turbo. So I guess I need to take the line back off and take the fitting out of the turbo. :eam:

O and the actuator doesn't fit....It hits the oil cooler lines..So I guess I have to fab something up.

I can only wait for the converter....:explosion: :explosion:

Atleast the turbo is easy to get at. Try swapin a Duramax turbo.....now theres a weekend of fun. Besides if it was easy everybody would be doing it. Lets see some pics of the new spinny thing!!

Well I started the car for the first time since I attempted to fix the oil leak.

No oil leak!!!!!!!! Car sounds a lot more throaty now. I took it out and hit 5-6 PSI. Didn't want to go much higher until the new chip comes. Didn't want to run lean.

I also need to fix the alky leak...grrrrrr Hit the test button and it was drippling out the bottom of the nozzle. I guess I knocked it this weekend so it is a little lose.

Otherwise I am real close to being done.

Im feelin your pain . Ive got to take the oil cooler hoses off agin and try to seal them. Dont you just love the smell of oil burning :censor:

I need to change those...they dont look that difficult...famous last words.

What is the ID of those? Also, do they require highpressure line of some sort?

Fixed the alky leak today. Now just waiting for the chip.

Hit 12 PSI and it feels real clean and smooth. Can't wait for the chip.

Got it tuned for 23 PSI at the moment with room to go. Ran a whole lot better than it did with the stock turbo and is a lot faster also.

If anyone has powerlogger check it out.

I don't have a powerlogger, but I'd like to see what it looks like. can you do a screen shot of the program and post it as .jpg?

You can download it over at fullthrottletech.com for free if you would like it.

Here are a few screenshots though. These car the three different screens you can use to review the log.

Personally I use this one. And then I can scroll through 15 different graphs.

Im thinkin thats the route for me......Looks like that would be easier to tune with than just a scanmaster. I will prolly need to fix my old laptop as this one now is Vista. Thanx for the pics!!

If budget allows get both...Really tough watching a laptop screen going down the track or road. It is a very slick software though. Mike Licht and Bob Bailey did a great job.
