Valve springs

thinking about buying a set of these has anybody used them before and if so can i use my orginal retaioners for them,I've heard the kirban springs drop right in without any extra hardware on the GN would that be the same for the TTA being that the heads on our cars are diffrent? I've heard mixed opinions on the 980's

Rich and Jason said to use 980's with stock cam.

No cup's. It's a cup that goes on the bottom of the spring and will raise the height if not taken out.

cups? I'm sorry im to familier with vavle springs..so take the ones out on my original springs before dropping the new one in?

Kirban use to make a tool that worked well.

What tool are you using?

Make sure you tap the retainers a couple of times before you hit them with the tool to loosen up the keepers. Just tap them lightly, you don't want to drop a valve!

The installed height is 1.725.

What do ya think about 981-12? Maybe to aggressive?

I used the 981's with out any issues. 980 is the proper spring for the stock cam. Aftermarket flat tappet would work well with 981. But 980 is your best choice.
