Twin Turbo Set Up

You can make way more power than a factory rear end and transmission can take with just a single turbo. If your interest is in going further than that to twin turbos, you'll have a mostly; almost completely custom car. Chances are that at that point that you'll have become acquainted along the way with a good race shop that can fabricate custom twin turbo headers - made similar to the design being discussed here for the Buick.

You and me both. :confused: It would be just about the same amount of trouble to buy a "shell" 3rd gen Firebird, gut it, paint it, slap "Indy Pace Car" door decals on it and stick a twin turbo SBC V8 under the hood.
 
There is no good reason.. except for the cool and something different angle, if i had money to burn ( like Chad does :D ) i might play around with it.
 
I am about to build a 4.1 for either the WE4 or the TTA. Won't be anything that exotic. Just want something to beat on before I sell. Gonna keep the original stuff intact. It's more in my "budget range". Hard to feed 3 turbocharged parts eaters.
 
to each its own but I think it would pretty cool to see a twin turbo set up on a tta something out of the ordinary.
 
Lots of engines look good in other cars too. I saw a really nice twin turbo setup on a late model Mustang the other day - well packaged. The guy bought his (Chinese) turbo kit off of eBay and put it on a 5.0 engine that was stock except for forged pistons and rods. The local race shop had a dyno day last week welcoming all. That Mustang put down 921 hp on the first pull, followed by 973 running E85. Low bucks power.

Not to be off the TTA subject, but I am thinking about twin turbos for my GT I got this week!IMG_0877.JPG
