I recently acquired a 89 TTA with 44k original miles, that was painted black (painful, I know). You may have seen it in one of the forums. I took a shot on the car and I am having second thoughts. Runs and Drives, could use a tune up, interior not too bad. I was going to invest in the car and run it this summer, but I think it is too much for me to take on. This is a good opportunity for someone looking to get in on the low end of the market. I will only send pics to serious buyers.

I will try to get some later this week, as I am still cleaning/tunning it up. Once back from my mechanic, I will post some shots.

I think one of the plugs is misfiring, Turbo has PSI and gets up and goes well, but it is 'jumpy' as it revs up.

Also, any advice on figuring out how to decode the vin and find the car #?

The car is still in the shop. It's running very rich and we are trying to trouble shoot it.

Does anyone have experience with this? My mechanic thinks it is the injectors...

Before I go down this road, I thought I would inquire.

check the fuel pressure regulator. Mine had same problem, reaked of gas out tailpipes. Changed regulator and also solved a stumbling problem when throttle was pressed.
 
How rich? I replaced my pcm with a gm remain to have my old one modified. It ran so rich I had to turn my fp as low as it would go to make it run. Got another pcm and worked fine.
