turbo shield

When I bought the car in may it came with a painted black turbo shield, I don't like it, how could I get the black paint off and back to orginal

Mine was the same way when I bought it. I just bought another one off of Ebay that was Jet Hotcoated for $35. You might be able to have it media blasted or if it is just spray paint, you can get some paint stripper( a good kind I like to use is called "AirCraft Remover". works great but dont get it on you.) Mine was powder coated and the paint stripper doesnt work too well on powder coat. Eventually i will probably media blast it, and turn it back to original and save it with the rest of the original parts.
