TTA Reunion Aug. 2011 in Ohio? Yes? No? Maybe? Post your thoughts/ideas

I will definitely consider making the trip from Long Island.

Phillyturbosix, be sure to reach out to Jason Scott, Editor of Pontiac Enthusiast magazine. He loves the TTA and is a huge fan of them. He would even go possibly.

Great to hear you guys are going to try and make this event. I honestly don't think you'll see an amount of TTA's together like this for a long time. I'm working to make this huge! If you could e-mail me Jason's info that would be great!! [email protected] I reached out to Hemmings Muscle Machines and they are interested as well about showing up. I'll work them all!
 
I would be down with meeting at Indy. It's a bit further for me from LI, but if we want real significance, that would be the place to meet. Would they allow us to hold some sort of a gathering on their facilities?
 
I'd be in for an Indy homecoming, would be cool to try and replicate the pic of all the TTA's on track

That sucks, when I ran around Bristol Motor Speedway during the Power Tour I got up around 80mph which felt faster than I thought it would on that tight 1/2 mile oval
 
I did contact Indy last year and they didn't seem to really want to host an event like that and they are anal with anyone going around that track. Like Jason said there is a strict speed limit. If anyone has a contact there I could reach out to them and see what they say. Last time around all my e-mails went unanswered.
 
Running on the track isn't a big deal to me, if we could get the cars in the starting grid that would be pretty cool in itself, get everyone to put on a set of pace car stickers for the photo.

Steve (TTA850) I believe lives in Long Island as well or somewhere in the area and he's got a nice collection.

Bummer. I am heading to N'East, PA this afternoon to see my parents for the weekend. Otherwise I would have gladly hooked up with you. Feel free to look me up next time you are in the area visiting family.

I bet I could organize a Texas faction to parade together to Ohio for the event.....it will be so cool

My TTA is trailer quality, but is so much fun to drive....!...I'd drive there....this ain't no dress rehersal and I'm pretty sure my TTA will out-live me....

Not to throw cold water, but is that the same weekend as the Ames Tri-Power Nationals at Norwlk OH?

Yes it was. We are going to move the date back to July 29th, 30th and 31st. 2011 When I reached out to Hemmings about attending the event they alerted me of the tri-power event. So with the new dates we should be fine. I have Ratfink working on a flyer that hopefully I can make an official post around the first of the year so everyone has time to get a tow vechiel and trailer set up to bring those TTA's out! :clap:

Keep em coming guys.. My goal is 100 TTA's! Think I'm shooting to high? That would be an awesome site and to be a part of it!
