Eric at TurboTweak can help you out, his chips are way better than any stock chip .... TurboTweak Home and I'm sure he got ECM's as well .... there's a guy on turbobuick.com that sell the ECM's regulary (for about $75 I beleive) so you might like to check there in the for sale section.

GM still has ECMs too. # 88999137, that's a superceded number but the correct ECM. List is 138.18, jobber is just under $100 w/core.
Unless your ECM is throwing multiple codes over and over again, I'd look for a different no start problem.
That generation ECM can go bad but by in large it's not a bad ECM, especially with the original chip still in it.
A TT chip is always recomended as an upgrade as it's tuneable and has an open loop idle feature.

We took the ecm out of my other TTA and the car still did the same thing. It's at a very good Pontiac dealer I've know the mechanic for almost 15 years and he is very good at what he does. The car will start some times but not all the time. We loose ground to the injectors. If you put a light charge on the battery it will start every time. But only sometiems if you don't give it a quick charge. We have 12 volts on the harness but the negative is sometimes stong or weak. We think we have it down to a bad harness ecm to engine,engine to injectors. Or a shorted injector loosing the ground through the ecm. Has anyone ever seen this before? The ecm had an after market chip. The person I purchased the car from said it would start, however he did have a problem when he got the car. Changed the starter, crank sensor, ecm, but after pluged into a battery tendor the car would start every time. Any help would be great.

Whoa!You maybe be making a mountain out of a mole hill. Forget your harness problems for now and move onto basic "no start" problems. Reads like you have a cam sensor issue that is intermittent. Like it can't locate number six cylinder through the cam sensor, so I'd start with that. Second, a grounding issue is easily resolved by cleaning all grounds at the rear of the right side intake manifold. You've eliminated the ECM by swapping in a known good one.Just because the cam sensor and crank sensor have been replaced don't rule out that they are mis-adjusted.
Before spending more money at the dealership spend some time reading " no start" threads here and at turbobuick.com.there's a wealth of knowledge there that can help you troubleshoot this. Also a 1989 turbo trans am supplement service manual is extremely helpful for you and your mechanic,so get one of those too,maybe you already have one. If so, go through the troubleshooting tree with a VOM meter ,test light and noid light at hand.

Found the problem, the grounds on the rear of the motor where a little loose. More than hand tight but a turn and a half with a wrench. Car starts great now. The performed all the test thourgh the whole system and nothing showed up bad. What a pain when it's something so simple.
