The trunk motor on my TTA is stuck at the bottom. I checked the fuse in the fuse box and it has power also there is power to the trunk. Does anyone know if there is a way to make sure that it is the motor, and not something else? is there a way to trigger the motor.
There is a trigger on the lock. Look where the striker goes in its closer to the rear body side. little black switch the striker pushes down when you close the lid. By the way the fuse for the trunk is not in the fuse block, there is a separate single fuse link next to the fuse box . Hope this helps a little.
When I went to put the car away this winter the hatch would not close. I did not worry about it for the winter. But know I'm ready to fix this. I put in a new 15 amp fuse. The one next to the box, but still nothing. The trunk light works, and the hatch is in the open positon. Is there anything else that I can check before buying a new motor for the hatch?
The trigger that JSTTA refered to above also controls the close action. take a look at that. You can also "hot wire" the motoor to check the motor function.
