Tires

yes they'll probably fit but they're going to be way too skinny for the wheels and the sidewalls will look stretched. Why would you want to go to a 225 anyways? Almost all performance tires are offered ini a 245/50/16

Because I have a brand new set I bought for another car I no longer own, and I dont know what to do with them! The TTA needs tires, so I was wondering if they could go on them instead of getting rid of them. But you think it would be really bad?

I wouldn't do it, it's going to look weird. Also judging by the size I'm going to guess that they're allseason tires so they're going to have a high treadwear rating and you're not going to get any traction at all and it's going to handle like crap. Personally I would stay away from them and just find a local forum for your area and try posting them for sale on there.

Funny thing,
I see tons of 245-45-ZR16s everywhere.
So we bought a set, and put them on Lisa's car.
Seem OK, just alittle bit rough on the driving.
Compared to here stock 225-60-R15s she used to have.

The 225/55/16 will fit they are a little shorter. I do not think it will be bad for the car, but may look a little funny. You will give up over and inch in tread width.

Many people in my Autocross days in the Stock class ran the 245/45/16 tire to get a lower ride height on Third Gen Birds. It also gave the car more like a 3.45 rear gear over the stock 3.27 due to the shorter tire.

You would be sacrificing handling and traction and the car wouldn't look right. See if a tire dealer will take them as a partial trade.
