I was checking out some tires on www.tirerack.com My list has the Tire, Size, Treadwear, Traction and price. I wonder how good the Bridgestone Potenza RE71 is The Treadwear is 140. The lower the treadwear the stickyer the tire right?

Another on your list could be Goodyear GSC. SLP has take offs in 245/50/16 for about $100. http://www.slponline.com/
I liked my GSCs, but a lot of people don't.

i like the sumitomo HTRZ. they're the same tire as Dunlop's D40s. pretty good all around tire. i've had three other friends that tried them and like them. just my $.02
