Has anyone used longer PF1218CL which is 130 millimeters compared to the normal length of 115 millimeters. Can't find out how long the AC Delco PF35L. Just wanted to know if there are any clearance problems with using the longer filter?
Some people had problem with the original tall 1218 filters hitting the idler arm .. I know mine is very close hence using the shorter Napa 1086 filter.
Also not sure about the quality of the delco filters these days.
I would recommend using the Napa or similar short filter just to be on the safe side, also easier when it comes to an oil change.
The 1218 filter did have clearance issues on my old car. When I first bought the car the filter had a dent and small hole from the idler arm. Thus I switched to the Napa Gold filter. IMO, using a non-OEM part that works better is the way to go.

I was going to go with the Amsoil number 24. Don't know if that's taller not. Another one that fits is the Amsoil 27 which I'm guessing is the taller one. Need to do some more research. Thanks for the info.
I got this response from Amsoil about the two filters that I had a question about. This is for everybody's FYI also.
"The EaO24 is 131 mm long. The EaO27 is 130 mm long. The difference between the two filters is that the EaO24 has an anti drain back valve, while the EaO27 does not have one. It must always be mounted so the opening is up, preventing oil from draining out during shutdown. "
