Sway Bar Spacer Bracket

amitch

Well-Known Member
Fixing and updating the suspension in the TTAs slowly and found I am missing the front sway bar spacer bracket that drops down the sway bar about an inch or so. Not the flat spacers that go directly to the underbody but the bracket immediately after that that firs onto of the bushing. I know thee were made specifically for the 89 TTA, however has anyone every reproduced these or is there an alternative fix?

I presume you mean the left brackets in the picture correct? No reproductions out there .. the design is just to move the bar down to clear the intercoolerscoop what you can do is get the standard brackets (left and right) from any Firebird / Camaro then use thicker spacer (replacing the middle flat bar spacers) to move the bar down to properly clear the intercooler scoop.

I should say just so everyone are aware that those pieces are unique to the 89 TTA ... so don't loose them :-)

I actually found the one some how got underneath my jack. However I still need to do a fix on the passenger side on one of the other TTAs
