Stock Turbo

I have a turbo that is a stock GN one according to sources on the boards. It's a nice little unit, no shaft play, although I have never ran it on any car.

It came with my car when I bought TTA 366.

i'm not sure if they are the same, maybe the seller know's

They are not identical. But all the same to me. Just depends how original you want to be, and if ou can find an original tta turbo.

Well i have the old turbo that come off it but it has a good bit of shaft play, since i have the seal kit i guess i could price a rebuild vs used

According to the first turbobuick link, the turbo I have pictured is the correct TTA turbo, the original owner of my TTA had it rebuilt a while back.
So what do you have on it now? Btw did you get that car to high ground or trade it for a boat? haven't seen Marcell on here lately hope he didn't get flooded...

Have a TA49 now, it is great for what I need it for.

I AM SICK OF THIS RAIN, ALL IT DOES IS RAIN DAY AFTER DAY, AND PROBABLY WON'T BE OVER FOR A FEW MORE DAYS. THIS IS THE SECOND TROPICAL STORM OF THE SEASON HERE AND IT IS GETTING OLD!!!

I wondered about Marcel, I think they are getting it worse than me.:beach:

Could the TTA's originally come with either the "GARRETT" on the housing with Raised Letters or Stamped/Embossed Letters.

While at the Reunion I saw both types.

To All TTA Owners:
What are on your ID Plates and what style of "GARRETT" lettering that you have?

Here is what is on the ID Plate on my extra Turbo with the "GARRETT" with Stamped/Embossed Letters.

Searching "Garrett 25536314" I found these two sites.

You are right Mike. My front 10 acres was a lake, and we couldn't get to town there are sink holes all over suwannee county and city hall and surrounding areas might be knocked down or go down. This area got flooded bad and theres still roads closed all over. Had 5 days off work though lol couldnt get there.

Simo, Can't help you out on the tag. I suppose when the turbo was rebuilt the tag was taken off. But it does have the raised letters and also a raised L on it also has A/R .60 with M24 on there.

Marcel, I knew you guys got a lot of flooding in your area. I hope it don't happen again!

So, I might add that the TA49 on my TTA now has the Stamped-Embossed Letters on it. More than likely that .63 housing was from a GN or T-Type.
