Hey John, Well you could take the radio conrtrols off the steering wheel. Maybe it's as simple as something is disconnected there or behind the radio where the controls plug in. It sounds like something came unpluged. Check all your connections and I bet you'll find something off!

Its only attachted by velcro. I pulled it off and found nothing obvious and I dont have a schematic so I dont think I wanna go probing with a voltage tester or am I wrong?

velcro? Sounds like someone had been playing around there! Maybe the colum is'nt factory?? Was it stolen at one time? Almost sounds like someone dropped a firebird colum in there and put the radio control steering wheel on it! :?: Have you pulled the head unit out to check all connectors are there? Did the radio ever work?

Hi!
The Velco is right.
I have even gotten some spares from the junkyards. Luckily, GTAs have the same as the 20th in some things.
Since you pulled it off, check to see crimps in the lines, or anything that looks cut.
Other than that, I'm not to sure.
You can always call the dealership and get a quote, I guess.

Called the dealer
Solution....they have some sort of box that enables the radio and then you can put it in the car so it must temporary disable the antitheft system and of course they want 50 for it sooo guess im gonna have to bite the bullet ...better then 100-200 for a new headunit....

Hi!
Check to see if it will always work again if you even get a dead battery!
Don't want to pay 50 bucks every time your battery dies, or gets disconnected.

Good luck,

George
