starting problem

Can anyone tell me if they have bought a new tank for their TTA, and what tank it is, if it fits OK, etc. I have seen so many ones for sale it hard to pick one that I can feel it will fit/work OK. I thank you for any inputs you can provide.

I bought a new tank and new fuel pump assembly. The tank is same as the one on the car, but the fuel pump assembly is different and will not fit into the tank. It has a cover plate that is bigger than the hole in the tank. The hole on the tank is 3.5 inches diameter, but the pump cover is 4 inches in diameter, so cannot set down and seal onto the tank. PartsGeek said it was for this car, but it isn't, and I am trying to return it for a refund. Can anyone tell me what fuel pump assembly - pump plus all the items that go into the tank - you have bought for this car? I paid $130 for the one I got but can't use it because it will not fit the mounting hole. The old pump is a Walbro GSS340 high pressure/flow rate pump, so I want one like it if I can find one. I would appreciate if anyone can tell me a good pump assembly to get.

Sounds like you need to invest in a field service manual and a parts manual rather then just randomly disassembling your cars. Either that or take it to a professional who knows what they are doing.
