Seems we still have some spam bots sneaking through the cracks and posting on the forum. Sorry if these posts have offended anyone. Some of them are really nasty. I try to ban them as soon as I see them. Jason has been doing a good job of deleting them as well as soon as they are posted. I just tightened up security on the board so if you run into any issues contact Chris or myself. Why they would come on this board is beyond me. You would think they would want a board with more traffic! :eam:
 
I am a new member here and I have been trying to read as much as possible to keep learning more and more about the TTA. I am on here everyday now for about 3 weeks. I haven't seen anything that looked like spam. What does a spam messedge look like or say?

Also I was thinking of a spot on this forum to post a how to that is always available to see. I am getting ready to put a fuel pump in and I have gotten some help and soon some pictures from quickyone. but there is alot that you have all done and I soon will, I would be happy to take pics and detail instructions for future and current members.
 
Well to answer the first part most of the spam popping up is graphic porn for the most part. Luckily we have been deleting it and banning the people that spam here and post it..

Good suggestion on the 2nd part. We can make a "How to" area on the board. I think most of the TTA's out there are low mile or even the high mile ones are mostly stock so there might not be a good amount of "how to" on these cars as not many have had to do much with them other then some bolt on mods. The nice part is since they have the turbo Buick engine in them you can check the turbobuick.com boards for more info on the engine and such.
 
Are you guys opposed to linking to other forums for the "how to" section?
 
I keep getting email from people trying to register but it keeps telling them they are banned. Jim, what happened?
 
Oh I banned some of the IP's the spammers were using. They might be on those IP's. See if you can get the IP address of them. I also set it so an admin has to approve them. That keeps them away as well. Send them my way if you want Chris I'll fix them up!
 
links would be great, The information is out there its just hard to find. My idea was to have the title read more clearly what the threads are about.

I was just on third jen f body and there are some real nice threads regarding different things. They have a very nice one that show all the available exaust kits and descriptions.

I realize there are people that do alot of work on these and its all appreciated.
