Picked this up a few weeks ago and it is definately a keeper!! For all of you guys that race it is slow compared to todays standards, but in 1982 it was right up there. Its a 1982 MSE Trans Am, 4 speed manual, 30k, pretty much a survivor. It came with the "git kit" (uninstalled) which was like a performance upgrade package. I am more into historical "not the norm" kinda cars, so this fit right in.

I remember seeing those new way back when.
I had a friend who bout one, and put the '83 stickers and front spoiler on his.
He got it in a video with a few of my cars.
You should take photos of all the "Git Kit" and post up.

I would say it is in pretty good shape for being 29 yrs old-it is not museum or "Barrett Jackson", but with a little interior and engine bay detailing it is going to be a fine car for local shows and cruise ins.
George, I hope to do a "git kit" thread sometime and show what it came with along with a few documents, but it will have to wait till the weather gets nice again here as everything is stored away now.

Here are pix of some of the "fleet" (in no particular order):
#545 when it first arrived at "home".
1965 Thunderbird "Special Landau" # 1485 (of 4500). Originally a CA car.
1987 Grand National at Carlisle this year - showing off the newly refinished "retro wheels"... the car hooked me on the LC2
Tiger last fall on the infamous "Tail of the Dragon". We've had this car since 1985, it is upgraded with a stock 302.
My main "daily driver" and former tow vehicle. 04 Expy, 5.4, 4x4, 144K miles
"New" mobility/tow vehicle. 03 E250 (conversion x 2), just turned 25K miles, 5.4

Greetings from Switzerland ! Bought the 10th Anniversary Trans Am back in 1979 in East Orange, NJ and the 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am 1989 in Sarasota, FL. The silver one is regarded here already as "Oldtimer" and has 100500km, the TTA counts 33000km and both are still running great.^^^ sweet! I'll bet that both of those are pretty few and far between over there

thanks for your message. There are other existing TTA in Switzerland (2-3) but I think I'm the only one, who owns two Anniversary Cars.
The Daytona one is with the 403 Olds and automatic transmission.
From your Profile Page I can see that you are from South NJ.
Well I've bought the Daytona on Nov 9th, 1979 from Mellon Pontiac, East Orange, NJ.
