Scored some nice rims today

Picked these up at the Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio today. Had my eye on them all weekend and toward the end of the event, made the guy an offer and he accepted. Got them for a really good deal. Tires are junk, but the rims just need the aluminum wet sanded and polished. No curb rash or cuts in them. Going to be my winter project. I have 2 extra sets now.


I have been to this event 4 years and this is the first year there was not one TTA there! We didnt take any cars this year-just wanted to relax and enjoy the event-which we did.

Hi Kymmee! Finally made it to this forum

Nice score on the wheels. Always a good idea to wait until the last minute. No one wants to have to haul stuff back home. lol. I've been checking CL locally to see if I can find a set of GTA rims in good condition.

Arm yourself with lots of patience for the restoration process. Ask me how I know - haha.

Hi Luis-welcome to the TTA forum!! That is exactly why I waited-he was a nice vendor though-said he had a couple offers from people that wanted to flip them. I showed him a picture of my TTA I had on my phone and that helped I think. LOL Yeah, I need to look up that thread you posted about the sanding and refinishing process. Was that on TGO?

3 sets?? I thought you wuz gonna try to keep that new garage "uncluttered"?

I can't figure out what the previous owners must have done to the set on my car that the gold part looks so bad... (but I did get a set of refinished ones to put on).

Ran them for yrs on my Camaro a lot better than the hard kdw's imo
