Rotor Part #

Any one know what the part # is for our rotors? Every place I've been to today has given me the rotors for a regular Trans Am. When I tell them I need the match for the "1LE" pkg the teen-20 somethings look at me like I'm from outer space

Thanks ill check the # see if it's still good. Photo came out good, just gotta get my buddy who took the picture to email it to me so I can send to you, sorry for the delay. One of the counter guys (NAPA I think)said they were the same brakes as the vette and wanted to give me those, is he correct?

Rock Auto is listing 18A286A for GM rotor. They also list a bunch of directional rotors from GM, which I am sure are made by another manufacturer and relabeled.
They also list Raybestos 5994R for 65.79

Yeah Classic industries is listing the AC delco 1LE rotors also but i see the raybestos as well. Hmm, the AC lasted 22 years and 60k should i switch for something a little more modern with maybe a little more stopping power, or stay with what I know works?

Rock auto has the Delco listed cheaper at around 60 bucks but it is special order. I doubt Delco makes their rotors. They are probably made by an outside supplier like Wagner or Raybestos. My opinion is a rotor is a rotor - as long as it is straight and true. The stopping power is in the pads. And good pads make a mess out of your rims.

I got a set of cryo treated power slots from tire rack for about $68 a piece. Better stopping power and should last twice as long, plus they look better. They were on sale. Normally list for well over $100 each.

I double checked my spare NOS GM set and yes that is the part number on them and also same part number I bought and run on my car many years ago; so guess GM changed it at some point. A GM parts counter should be able to look this number up for you and give you the new number to use.
