Replacement O2 sensor

I have a TTA that might have an O2 sensor (Bosch #0258002014) going bad. I have a air/fuel indicator (colored LED lights go from red to green) mounted on my dash, and lately it has intermittently stopped showing any response on a couple occasions. I don't know if it's the gauge or sensor.
I have a spare O2 sensor from my '87 Buick T-Type, an AC #20 stock sensor for the Grand National, etc, and wondered if I could put it on my TTA to test if it is the sensor or gauge going bad. Does anyone know if the GN sensor is OK to put on the TTA?
