Recondition Wheels

Has anyone tried to restore the TTA wheels. Mine are corroding under the clear coat. Any tips or suggestions welcomed.

I did a few sets the old fashion way.
Different grades of sandpaper, and repainted the centers.
One set in white, and almost 2 complete sets of black.
No gold yet.
