Ya, but these are used! For about $100 more, you can get NOS. Even that is hard to believe! I paid $250 for a NOS set, that one I'll save! I pulled off my originals, and use just the standard AC-Delco replacements (these have no 20th Trans Am writing on them), and change back for car shows! I just can't see paying over $50 bucks for a used set.
How many of you still have their originals? Or a set or two of NOS?

I've got my originals with only 6k on them, but they have a clear coat sprayed on them as the guy I bought the car from had the engine compartment "professionally" cleaned and they sprayed a clear coat on everything. I found that carb cleaner will remove it very nicely though.
 
Still have mine.Replaced them with 10k on them.Still look like brand new.One day they will all be used and worth much more.Just my .02$.

175.00 does seem like too much for a used set. And I would not pay it, but these items are getting very hard to find and people need them bad enough they will pay it.

I have my originals, plus the i picked up a partial set of wires (1,2,3,5,6) from Johns Performance a couple of months ago along with a NOS set I am saving for later.

Do the wires you get from GM these days have the shields on them? Its not a bad idea to use those for daily usage.

What are these NOS your talking about? Do they have the "20TH ANNIVERSARY" logo on them? If they do where can I get them.
 
Hi NEEDTTA,
NOS stands for New Old Stock. That means new in the box from GM (or Pontiac in this case). Even though they may be discontinued by GM (again, Pontiac this time), lots (or some) of people still have them. Either to use later, or just to resale later for higher value. I tend to keep my NOS parts for the future, if I need them for my cars. However, I also collect NOS parts for Trans Ams/Firebirds just to resale or trade for parts I don't have. You can still (I think) get the AC-Delco wires from GM, just they don't have the 20th Trans Am writing on them. The new wires by AC-Delco do not have the metal shields on them though. Whereas NOS 20th Trans Am wires do have the shields and the writing on them.
As to where to find them (NOS 20th TTA wires), check ebay, other internet sites (http://www.thirdgen.org is one), or go to every Pontiac Car show/swap meet possible. Trans Am Nats, POCI national shows, or even just your local area car swap meets. You'll be suprised what you can find.
