One TTA at Barrett Jackson lot #623 on Sunday?

I'm gonna wait and see what happens with these cars, I have two low mile cars and two to play with. If I did not have some to drive it would be impossible not to drive them. I think the number of low mile cars will get smaller as time goes on for sure just because these cars are so EXTEMELY FUN to drive. I do something with my cars everyday.

As far as resale value goes, I'm not banking on making money, I just think these cars are really cool to have. I have the 1:18 cars too :drool:

hey Jarrod, in your Sig, the hard top car, did that come from Dean in Grand Prairie by any chance ? cause he has one, around the same milage.
If I couldn't drive my car, I would go crazy, I love driving it, especially when you get to beat up on newer M3's and 5's, man they get upset when they loose to a GTA .... gotta love it ... GTA HAHAHAHA that's what the last guy told me " I never seen a GTA go like that before" then I had to explain the TTA to him ..... I think he's still scratching his head.
the newest one was at the track a couple weeks ago against a Skyline ... the kid came over and said " what the hell is that thing ??!! I've never seen one before !!" so after a little talking and a handshake, cause he's never lost to a Trans Am before, heck he's never even heard of a GN ... I was shocked !! oh well, it was a good race for sure !!

Ya Rob my hard top was Dean's car from GP. Good guy he is. And his car is even better. That's awsome youre schoolin some kids with skylines. The real young guys just have no idea about these cars or a GN either. I go to the race track and the officials there are kinda clueless too. They always pair me up with some car that is 14 seconds or so. Not that I am really competitive but it is nice if the cars are close in times.

Hey Rob what is the deal with your racecity, is it closing?? Did you race in Calgary or did you come to Edmonton?? I went to the track with a guy from the Calgary firebird club at the start of the summer. He had a firebird formula with a tricked out cam and tranny. I ran right next to him in my Trans am GTA. It was fun.

Mine falls into this category, 50K and all stock. A very nice 5 footer, close up shows some wear marks inside and out. And a very nice driver.

I have it for sale for $15k on a few websites and cars.com. I have been trying to get $14K and I have some interest. 3 people have come to see the car. One person came twice and one person who saw the car offered me $14k for it and I accepted. Just waiting for them to show up with the cash/check and take the car.

I have owned the car for 7 years and thought it would be easy to sell when I wanted to but its all about timing and now sucks. I could have gotten more money and an easier sale 2 years ago but I was enjoying the car and wanted to wait unit it turned 20. They say good things come to those who wait....not always.

I could kept it and wait but I am so afraid to drive the car now that I have my mind set on selling it.

But I did take it to a car show in Great Neck this weekend and it was fun. People would just stare at the engine and look confused. I was the only 3rd gen there and only V6 turbo (no GN). Had a few people jump over the ropes to take a closer look. I even put on 1980's NYS license plates for fun. In NYS a car has to be 25 years or older to put on vintage plates. Here are some pics.

well our track has been spared, it will live for another 5 years !!! yes ... a legal place to race !!!
And the guy you met is Mike, that car is for sale now ... yeah I get to race 14 - 18 sec cars most night, I started a new Car Club here in Calgary, and we go out Friday nights and race each other ... much better, I have a high 11 second t-type in the club, I borrowed his DR's and ran a personal best of 12.92 on a mostly stock setup .... and the GN are more well known !! I get back to the pits and guys come out of the wood work to see the car .... yep .... "wow cool install ... looks better in here than the GN'S , how long to do the conversion ?? " I get that a lot, so I tell them the ORIGINAL owner put it in .... the General !!!
Oh well I guess the less that know, the more we can own for a better price I guess.

Rob, good to hear your track is gonna live. I am gonna have to come down next summer and check out what's going on down there. Not much up here for clubs. I am in the edmonton corvette club but most of the time we odn't do too much, just go to some shows and stuff. There is only 5 or so guys too, not many compared to the mustang club that meets by my house all the time.

How much do you race? I had a chance to race TTA 833 but the trach got rained out. I think he would have beet me anyway, he was running alky and 20some #'s of boost. I had 733 out running 14#'s. I am still tryin to dial it in tuning wise.

Season's over for now just winter projects on the vette for me...:cold:
