New TTA Owner

Hello I am glad I found this web site. I will be taking delivery of my new to me 89 TTA next week. Just had a few questions that I hope you guys can help with. This car is a Festival car with cloth it has had some mods but no internal work to the motor just bolt on's. It is a 2 owner car the previous owner had it since 1996 which he bought it from and fellow that worked at GM who had 2 of these cars. Well I have it now. The car has 30,000 miles on the odometer exactley. The milage is true and the Vin# is 1G5FW2178KL226084 does anyone know the build number of this car I was told #31 but I am unsure. Thanks for any info.

Congrats on the car! You build number sound about right I have been told my car (also a festival car) is #6 and the last 6 of my vin are 225390. The only way to know for sure is pay the 30 bucks to pontiac historical and get the packet for the car.

Congrats on the new car. You will need to contact PHS (Pontiac Historical Services) for the build number and a copy of your invoice. All of the Festival Cars were very early numbered cars. They had to be done for press and all of the activities associated with Indy in 1989. Most of the Cloth Interior/T-Top cars were Festival cars. If you are sure it is a Festival car, then it most likely has a build number less than 150.
