New to the board.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Al and I have been the owner of the 89 TTA since 1990. I just found this site and I am glad to see a place for these great cars.

Welcome to the board, I posted in your other thread too. So where do all these new members keeping coming from? I know that the number of cars isn't increasing... It's nice to see the community grow.

You'll find that this site is a very valuable resource, and a great place to just hang out too.

Hey welcome aboard! Yankees or Mets? Doesn't matter I hate them both anyway! Ha ha ha. Sorry that's what's expected from a Red Sox fan isn't it? I'm very impressed to see you original owner's after all these years. Mainly because I can't keep anything longer than a year or two myself. Definitely tell us all about your car and your experiences with it when you get time.

Thanks for the welcome guys, TC Turbo, I am both a Yankee and a Met fan. I went down to the big park in the Bronx to see it for the last time this past weekend and I fully understand that you would not be a fan of either team LOL.

As for my car I got in back in 1990 and it was pre owned with around 1200 miles on it. It is completely stock and original with 29000 miles on her. I have had it stored now for close to 12 years or so.

I have over the years collected all the info and magazine articles and have most of the info that was on the old Tran Am site that I think was run by a John Pearcy. I did send to Pontac and got all the records that they made available on the TTAs and also have the supplement shop manual.

I have pictures but they are the old fashioned kind, prints made from film so I will have to make scans to put them up.

Anyhow again thanks for the welcome and I will be sure to give a shout if I need any help.

Al

That's awesome Al! By the way I'm not much of a sports fan in actuality. My wife is a huge Red Sox fan so I just watch with her. We're taught in elementary school to say something awful about the Yankees on first contact with a New Yorker. Insult Derek Jeter and his mother, that kind of thing.
One of our peers here posted a while back about all the TTA memorabilia he had collected through the years and it was very interesting. Sometime when you have a chance list what you have amassed.
