Need to Repair-Rebuild Hatch Pull-Down

I opened and when I shut the hatch today it made strange noises and would not close and it was slipping trying to close. I took the back panel off and it looks like parts of the plastic channel track was torn up in bits. I suppose it is time to rebuild it.

Has any of you guys rebuilt yours before? Don't look too difficult would like to know the proper way to go about this.

Top down is great and hawks is good too that's where I bought a new motor and bushings and re-used my existing latch mechanism.

I rebuilt mine with the same kit. I went further and had the assembly powder coated as long as it was apart. The coating makes a smoother surface for the bearings to slide on.

There are photos on this board somewhere.

After looking at it not as bad as I thought. The problem is the screws became loose at the plastic motor housing causing the motor to not engage properly, one screw mount is broken. So will have to replace plastic motor housing. I still might get the rebuild kit for future use.
