Sweet talked my wife into taking CARRVTE with and joining me on pub crawl/shopping/dining cruise day in beautiful downtown Morris IL. I have heard it is the best around and have never been able to fit in my schedule until this year, and it didn't disappoint. We arrived just after 1 to get two good spots in the main area on Liberty street near all shops, bars, and restaurants. The cruise night is actually from 6-9 but they start registration at 3. Awesome set up and staff. The registration is walk up if you get there early for a spot or drive through if you arrive after 3 PM. Any non registered cars parked normal in the slots after 4 PM are towed. There is a $10 registration but it covers their cost to run it and goes to different charity each month, plus the give you three 50/50 raffle tickets and also give away 10+ $50 gas cards. There were 841 cars according to the PA announcer and the 50/50 raffle winner got $3680...WOW. They have speakers all along the street too which rocks out the classics and the PA can make announcements. Too many cars to see them all, but I highly recommend it. By far the best cruise night of the year so far and was lucky enough to have my wife join me. Here are my favorite pics of the day.
