Lingenfelter Camaro-based TA...George, take pics!

Oh ya,
I will be all over that car for sure! ;)
I just hope I have enough batteries for the camera. ;)
And I hope they have a Press Kit!
Looks like 1972 style grilles, which go really great with those honeycombs.

Wow, I think I really like it! I dig it much more than the Bandit version. Makes more sense to me to make it look like a 71-72 than the 78 bandit version, even though technically both versions are based on a 2nd gen and the actual new camaro is based on the 1st gen. Anyhoo, I like it!:cowboy:

That's how the 70's stuff is supposed to look, fake... haha

Not quite sure why every one insists on making these into second gen styles. The new Camaro is based on the 1st gen '67-69 body style. The second gen body kits don't seem to work on these, just my opinion. What they should have done if Pontiac stayed around was to differentiate and make their own car. Chevy gets a first gen retro Camaro, Pontiac gets a second Gen retro Firebird, and every one is happy. The first gen Camaro and second gen Birds are arguably the most popular styles for those particular models. But who are we? Were just consumers, our opinions shouldn't matter :censor: Kevin Morgan was on the right track with this concept http://www.millstonegraphics.com/transam/taconceptconvert.jpg

Ya,
I got lots of photos.
Too bad the Lingenfelter guys weren't there when I was.
They didn't show up that day at all (at least, what the models told me. And yes, I got shots with the car and models ;) ).
Photos are on my website.

George

Oh cool, you have Judas Priest's "Turbo Lover" on your homie page. Still couldn't find the pics. Do you have a direct link?

Here you go.

I have some different sections with stuff, as I tried to get them in the right sections.
Anyway, you may want to see the big photo stuff, like:
Trans Am Motorsports - SEMA was a blast!
This has alot of MOPAR shots.
I really love that Killer Bee one!

Trans Am Motorsports - Picked up some really cool stuff at SEMA
This has some stuff I picked up at SEMA.

Trans Am Motorsports - Yep! I got some autographs.
This has photos of autographs I got while I was there, including photos by Richard Petty.

Trans Am Motorsports - Firebirds at SEMA 2009
This is all the Firebirds I saw at the SEMA Show, including some 5th gens that may be made by other companies.
I really love the Lingenfelter conversion.
It would go nice alongside my Lucerne Blue 1970 Trans Am.

Let me know what you think of the photos.

Enjoy,

George :beach:

Sweet pics!! Looks like you had a good time thanks for sharing, George.

Somehow I don't think it was the bike you were getting a pic of here. LOL

Ha!
In one picture, Lisa got me checking out another nice little rear end.
And it wasn't a car one either. ;)
At least she didn't catch me right then.
Ha!

FYI, I heard the Lingenfelter TA will be up for auction at Barrett-Jackson this weekend. After a friend mentioned something odd on the car I went back to look at the pictures. The headlights are still in the original position. It would have been nice if they could've relocated them to be a bit more flush with the new front end.
