It happened! I finally got my Turbo Trans Am!

Well, I am proud to announce that I am the new owner of a 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am - number 760!

She's a leather/ t-top model, has all the emblems, including the decals on the door. She's bone stock - right down to the ORIGINAL Goodyear ZR 50 tires. She was a former musuem car. Only 1428 miles on her clock as she now sits in my garage. Not a scratch, chip, dent, or ding on her - inside even smells new.

The car runs great, leaks nothing, and is fairly tight considering it's a t-top car. Had a minor problem with the rear hatch release the day after I got it, but Lon over at Top-Down Solutions was super helpful in pointing me in the right direction and getting the parts for it.

Thanks to all of you on here - the hunt was a blast! But being an owner is even more fun! :D I seriously don't think I could have found a better car!

Can you tell I'm thrilled?? I'll be in touch (as I'm sure I will have tons of questions!) - but for now, I'll be in the garage!

Hey Chris congrats and welcome to the boosted world! :) I've had mine a few months now and I love it. Went to 2 shows with it and won a trophy at each one! Keep that baby stock! You can watch that investment grow! Now you need to warm up that digital camera and get us some pictures of it! Congrats on the find!! I looked at (and bid) on that car myself. I was looking for something a little less than a museum car, somthing I could drive. Just couldnt bring myself to buy that nice and low mile car to drive and possibly leave outside overnight. That is the nicest one I have seen yet!!

PhillyTurboSix - No this is not the one photographed with the plastic still on it. This one seemed to pop up out of no where. Found it in South Texas. The car is super clean and all original - so let me know if I can help you out - would be glad to.

Gtome - I was a little hesitant when I first read about the car - but after making the trip to see if first hand, the car impressed the heck out of me. Still, after looking, I wondered how it would drive - with those low miles. It drives GREAT.

The car will continue to be treated as a musuem piece in my garage - but will still take it out for nice Sunday drives. I'm already checking out Sunday's weather forecast!
 
The TTA family is only 1555 so we have to stick together!! :) Sunday drives are the best! Watch out for the Rustangs.. they have no clue what a TTA is and like to play I've found out! When I'm in my GN no one wants to play but in the TTA the Rustangs love it! :)

What I'm looking for is the barcode sticker that is on the rims from the factory. I saw one car for sale around you with the bar code sticker on each rim still. I'm looking for a good clear close up of that bar code as I'd like to reproduce it. I have the stickers on my rims but the bar code is long gone. Let me know if you or anyone else can hook me up with a picture like that! Thanks!

Hey congrats is this the one that was in ST Louis? If you happen to take any pictures of the underside i would love it if you would email them to me. You'll love the car no doubt enjoy.
 
Hey Fastrice - been meaning to call you.

Nah, this is not the one in St. Louis - that car was bought by a local guy right about an hour before I was to head up there! This one came from Victoria,TX. I had watched it last week, but figuring with the super low miles, it would be way out of my price range. After the St Louis car fell through, I called the folks in Victoria about the car. Turned out cheaper! When I saw the car in person - it was a no brainer. Cheaper, closer to home (by 300 miles), lower miles, and probably a better car (the St Louis car had some minor problems from what I was told), I think I made out good.

Will try to call you tonight (Thursday).
