I'll go ahead and say it even though I hate to.

If you can duplicate 11.3 or faster, you will drag his ass all the way down the track.

If that's all the mods he has, you will spank him. But let us all know when and where its going down, maybe another little v6 TTA or GN will want revenge for our brother!!:thumbup::thumbup:
 
With only those mods listed, I'd put him at 13.10 - 13 flat at absolute best. Only a chip and more octane will not get him in the low 11's, If it runs perfecto it will never hit low 12's, at least with the list of mods in the thread. You got him.
But if he wins, we have a thread here that should be a bunch of fun to "revisit":toot: Good luck to you both, film it if at all possible, and if no track is available, do it on a back road down and dirty and post it on YouTube!:thumbup:

I am not looking to hate on his TTA. It runs very good.

I am not into racing on a back road though, I don't want either one of us to get hurt. I would never live that down. The only thing is he is almost two hours away from the closest 1/4 track. Kinda sucks... I know how anal he is about putting miles on his TTA. Plus, if his car happens to crap the bed that is an expensive towing bill. If he does happen to go to the track I will tape it. It's all good.

what's really ironic about this and me and my brother were arguing would win between my TTA and his 98 Trans Am. I've gone faster at the track and beat him several times messing around on the street, but now he's got a new combo that'll probably take me out.

To put the debate to rest, as Joe already even said, it's no competition the LS1 is going to win. It's like asking who will win between a TTA and an Altima stock vs stock.
 
If you guys haven't spoken in the last 18 months then you've both got bigger problems than whose car is faster.

Fix that...the race can wait.
 
Yeah, I tried to call him twice sometimes more a day for at least 18 months.

I can not believe he has taken this route though. I am totally shocked...

He posted in the TB site as well. He just sent me a list of his new mods to my PM box.

My wife read the threads and is disgusted.

Guess what he bought me for Christmas. A bag of rice. yup I said it a bag of rice.

Oh, I didn't mean Down/Dirty as in dangerous, I've raced on very safe "backroads" numerous times, like more than 100 times easy. I just meant D/D as in not "legal" at a drag strip and for fun and no money or attitudes, just "buzzing bragging". I wish I had pictures, It was a great strip in Kentucky with no traffic for miles. We met on Sundays. Free drag strip. Kentucky is a breeding ground for this crap.

For the I didn't say he had a backyard mechanic work on his car, I said I didn't have a backyard mechanic work on my car. I don't know who worked on his car so I can't comment.
Also, I asked him if I could post an opinion poll about our cars on his site and he said it was cool.
I also told him to chime in with his mods but he did not. Should have read the whole thread. I didn't come here to start trouble, just wanted everyone's opionon who owns a tta and knows his car to comment without insults and that is what I got.
For the record I bought him a 90.00 sweater and put a bag of rice in the box as a joke. Tell the whole story bro!!! There is much more to the story DSM Dave than you know. Trust me. I will call Jerry Springer:toot:
 
The LS1 is gonna win.........I'm not even sure why it's a question.

This is more of a "my car is faster than your car" thing anything between brothers.

I've never ran faster than 11.73 in my '68 Camaro.......but I'd still run you. ;) You see, I'm no different than you. Adding heads/cam/nitrous to a BBC after running 11.70's should get me to the line a little quicker.
 
Keep the family stuff off the boards please, if you want to keep it to the car talk you can start another thread listing each of your mods and we can compare them then.
