How many times have you been pulled over??

In my TTA .... twice ... in this country we have speed cameras all over the place in fixed positions), and also mobile units with speed cameras ...

The picture says it all ... 40MPH road ... went to the local golf club to get my son (he's in the passanger seat in the picture) a set of golf clubs for xmas ... on the way back home I know there's two fixed cameras but this day they also had a mobile unit out there ... so needless to say the golf club set got a bit more expensive than planned and I also lost 3 points on my license :-(

Got done for speeding (again camera) on the famous M25 around London close to Heathrow airport on my way to a car show many years ago, this area have varible speed limits depending on the trafic situation at the time ... normaly 60MPH but I guess they had it down to 30 or 40 MPH and I got "flashed" by the camera and another 3 points on my license and about $100 fine :-(

You got pinched for 8 over the posted 40????

That's what we call a chicken shit pinch.

You are driving on the wrong side of the road though:teehee:

..

I've only been pulled over once in the TTA and that officer was fishing for a D.U.I. as it was real late and I was coming back from Ohio and a night at the track.
His reason was that he couldn't read my plate because it was non reflective.I have one of PA's older white w/purple classic tags and he thought it was an expired OH tag.
Fortunately I had my shoe polished dial-in numbers across the windshield and that backed up my "I was at the track" story.

I did get a 92 MPH ticket in a minivan one year on I-80...I beat that one in court though!

Only once in the TTA. For no front plate. That was when #807 was almost new, but now days the cpos just wave. I live in a town of 8000 pop.

Too many times, lets see...

Once in my old Escort because it was like 2 am and the defrost didn't work on the car so my windows were all fogged up. We were going to Ihop after a late night of working on the car. I guess I pulled out in front of a cop and "cut him off". He pulled me over and started questioning us and got my friend out of the car. He gave them his military ID and they let us go.

Second, I got a ticket for doing 10 over on the highway.

I got pulled over with a bunch of friends in the TTA after driving doing a 4 local 4 lane road and some of the other guys in front of me were doing a couple of hits and all of these cars are low low 10 second cars if not faster. We pull into the gas station to see where we were gunna go and next thing we know there's like 5 cop cars there. They let us go since all they had was they "heard" the cars.

Got one down at school for taking a friend to the liquor store. We were both sober and he was visiting but didn't know his way around so I drove. He went into the liquor store and when we left like 1/2 mile later we got pulled over. He got distributing to a minor and I got minor transportation.

Got a ticket in Indianapolis doing 10 mph over getting onto the highway. They had 3 cop cars set up and they were just running a train pulling people over. They were pulling people over as soon as the previous car pulled off.

There are a couple more but they're not interesting or anything. With all of that, I've lost quite a bit of money but I don't have a single thing on my record. I've never had to get a lawyer to wipe any of them either. You have to love our government, pay a little more and you'll never hear about it again.

It's also funny that I drove the TTA around with open exhaust running race gas and never got pulled over, but I've been pulled over probably 6 or 7 times in my daily driver.

Let's see if I have some kind of record.

First time ever I got pulled over in the truck for 12 over. He asked why I was speeding and I said I was coasting and hate to ride the brakes. He let me go. Wahoo!

Second time, a cop was behind me and I was in the GTO and a car pulled right out in front of me and I swerved over a lane and manuvered around him. He pulled me over for reckless driving and the non use of a blinker. He let me go...He would have had a hard time fighting that one in court too...

Third time, 2am, my birthday, no other cars on the road and I didn't use my blinker. He let me go.

Fourth time, pulled over for suspicious activity because my windows were too dark. They were legal. Bastard.

Fifth time, pulled over for my illegal tinted taillights and too dark tinted windows. This time the windows were too dark and I admit that. However, he told the judge the tails were dangerous. Judge walked outside and saw my trucks taillights and told the cop to apologize for hassling me and to find something better to do. I thought the cop was going to shit a brick!

Fifth time, was actually last Saturday (9 days ago) at 1:30 AM. I was driving home from school in the GTO going 72 in a 70 just trying to get home in one piece. Everything on the GTO is completely legal. The state highway patrolman walks up and does not introduce himself. He doesn't have a badge on and immediately that throws a HUGE flag to me. He asks me if I know what I did and I said no sir. (Very polite...). He then says my window tint is too dark. I said ok...he then asked me to roll it up and test it. I said "yes sir..."it was 38% on his meter and 20 is legal in AR. He then says he got me for speeding. I said "ok". He asked how fast I was going. I said "72 (on my GPS so it was accurate..)". He said yes you were speeding. I said ok "well write me a ticket and let me go please" as I had still had 250 miles left. He said I'll let you off with that. At this point I'm getting really irritated. I am very respectful to all my elders, but my fuse tends to me really short with morons and people who won't give me the time of day. He then asks if I had been drinking or had anything illegal in the car. I of course said no as I hadn't and didn't have anything illegal in the car. He gets me out and asks if he can take a look. I said sure, but make it quick, I wanna go home. I start getting pretty pissed off at this point...He searches me, the passenger compartment of my car, and then wants to do a field sobriety. The first thing he asked me to do was say the alphabet backwards..I said I can't do that in any state of mind, but I will gladly go to the police station and blow if that makes you happy....o and this time I said, if you take me to the station and have me to this, my dad will love to pay for a lawyer. He starts getting pretty pissy. I had him backed into a corner. He made me walk a straight line and all that BS which of course, I passed...then he asked to search my trunk...ok the GTO's trunk is so small, and of course I have it LOADED down. I have two subwoofers, jumper cables, car wax, soap, towels, extra lights, yada yada. He pulls all of it out...he tried pulling out the subs which I have screwed down. I was laughing my ass off watching him try to get those out. This went on for a good 3 minutes atleast...o and I am sprawled across his hood. He then asked me to come pull them out. Which is a bitch to do...it is a class install and wasn't meant to be taken out. Long story short, he finds nothing, then leaves me on the side of the road with all the trunk belongings on the ground. Of course, he took off with his lights off and I couldn't get a car number.

Moral of the story, cops have never done anything good for our family (our house got broken into and my mom chased the mexican out with a .38 special HAHAHAHA and my dog took care of the rest and then the cops came 15 mins later...) and I hate them.

Lets see, TTA only stops

Got stopped in a 25mph speed trap 10 over on a 6 lane highway. Ins Ignored it

Got stopped for accelerating from a stop light too fast, no tire squeel or nothing, no ticket either

Got stopped for stoping too quickly for a "yellow" light. no tire lockup but stopped from 45 in like 4 carlengths. love those 1LE brakes. Officer said I did nothing wrong, woulda let me go thru. But I made such a sceen he had to stop me.

Got stopped for fishtailing making a left turn, first time out in spring maybe 8 years ago, combination of bein agressive and the boost comming on halfway thru the turn, got a ticket then.

I think that was the last ticket I got.

Last Non TTA stop

I was stopped on I-90 in OH near the lake. I was towing a Roadmaster wagon on my open car hauler with a roadmaster wagon. I think he was curious all he could come up with was "did I buy the car on E-bay" which I did, then he asked if I could show him the paperwork, which I had. Then he said to watch the wind coming off the lake. The wind was a bit high like 30mph.

I've been pulled over several times in my 4 years of driving. Let's see here...

First time, it was a Saturday and I was going to work because we were really busy and I could have used the extra money. I had finally got the TTA running again after about a month and was a bit too excited about it, the first time I stepped on it in a month I got a ticket for 49 in a 35. So much for the extra cash...

Second time I was driving home from a friends at 2am on the tollway. I was cruising at about 74 in a 60 when I passed a cop on the shoulder. She pulled me out of the car because I had 2 other guys with me and told me how I was going too fast, needed to slow down and warned me about having a front plate. I got a ticket for speeding.

Third time I was driving home from work in my dads Grand National at about midnight. I was doing 42 in a 40 and slowly overtook a cop. I guess they don't like that because as soon as the front of my car passed his he pulled me over. He said he was doing 43 and I was still overtaking him, which I doubt. To compound matters, I couldn't find proof of insurance because my dad hadn't put it in the car. Thankfully he let me go with warnings...

Fourth time I was driving to work thru a fairly busy street between neighborhoods. I can't remember how fast I was going but the speed limit was 30. I may have been doing low 40s. I got a ticket for that.

Fifth time, less than 2 weeks later, I was driving to work again on a 35mph road doing high 40s when I passed several cop cars pulling person after person over and they got me too. Speeding ticket.

Sixth time I got pulled over for doing ~90mph in a 60, but my radar detector never went off. The cop basically told me I was going too fast, need to slow down, and informed me that I do not have a front plate. I was then told to have a good day. I don't think he radar'd me.

I've been warned without being pulled over a few times, once for punching it from a light and spinning the tires a bit when it shifted into second. I passed a cop sitting at a light doing that and he told me from his car to be more careful because I "almost lost it".

Recently I was driving my '68 Grand Prix and accelerated from a light, not even WOT but not terribly slowly either. The tires didn't make any noise and I didn't speed, but the cop in the right lane still flashed his lights and siren at me... for some reason...

Me and some friends did get pulled over one night for "suspicious behavior" once. Suspicious behavior being me wearing a towel cape and motorcycle helmet sprinting torwards a Blockbuster store dumpster. We were bored and I wanted a cardboard box they were throwing away. A cop witnessed all this and pulled in for questioning. Fortunately my friends were both able to explain my love for cardboard seperately so he let us go... Ah, the things we do when we're young.

So I've had 4 tickets, all for speeding. I haven't had any go on my record though, defensive driving once and deferred 3 times.

I'll have to dig out my tickets from when I started driving and scan them. I have easy over 75 tickets since I was 16! I was just one of those guys in the wrong spot at the wrong time in the wrong car! I blame my pop! For my first car he bought me a 77 Lemans with a 400/400 trans and a posi So I had the feed for speed! Some quick cheap mods and the car was a rocket. It was firethorn red and a real head turner. I sold that car and bought a trans am. Got in trouble with that plenty of times. Then a few IROC's later that didn't help. It was everything from running red lights, Not stopping completely at stop signs, reckless driving, and a few speeding tickets in there.

I have 2 GN's besides the TTA and never a ticket in them and you would think that car is a ticket magnet but I got pulled over twice in the TTA no less!

One time I got a ticket. I was following a friend to a car show 8am on a Saturday. My friend likes to take these back roads all thru NJ. A few NJ cops always told me stay on the main roads and off the back roads when in NJ because the small township cops are the worst and always looking for activity from out of state people. There was a intersection coming up. Nothing around but tree's and a small bank on the corner. The light was green for us but he jabs the throttle a little bit to get thru the intersection to make sure I clear the current green light. Well he has open dump on his GN with a big turbo and we all know what that sounds like when you jab the throttle. The cop must have been sitting in the bank lot on the other side where we could not see him. The cop must have heard him and looked up and all he saw we me going thru the intersection ( a pinch fast) while still green for me. Cop comes out pulls me over and asked me why I was drag racing. They can take he car for drag racing so I guess he was looking to impound the car. I said to the cop, I'm 41 years old, in a classic collectible car with 30K on it, on some back roads in NJ. Why in the world would I be drag racing? I also explained to him that I was going to the car show in his town ran by the friggin police and fire no less. Well hands me a ticket for reckless driving. I go to fight it and they take me into the prosecutor's office and say here is the deal. Plead guilty and pay the fines and you will get no points. Didn't sound bad but in the state of NJ they have a new law that if you get pulled over no matter what happens you pay over 400 bucks in fee's!!! So it was about $475 bucks by the time they were done raping me. Fuck the state of New Jersey! I'll never live there and I don't go to anywhere near as many shows in that state. Bunch of whores.

Second time in the TTA I was leaving a show. Got a few blocks away on a main road and all these ricers were driving like idiots. Trying to get me to race from light to light. There was an open stretch so I stomped on it to get the hell away from the idiots and the cops come out of no where pull me and the ricers over. After screaming at that cop for bullshit pulling me over when it was all them he gave them all tickets and let me know. I was so pissed. I was just trying to get the hell away from them and I almost get nailed.

Hm... as far as the ricers go, couldn't you have drove much slower and let them get ahead of you? It's fun and all to put a group of them them in their place all at once, but it would have been less risky to let their pack pull ahead.

I did try that and they were going slow with me trying to line up at every light. Then one of them spun the tires so hard leaving a light he just about hit my car from sliding all over the road. That's when I went into "f this" mode and left them in the dust.

You could own another GN or TTA with all the money you have spent on tickets! 75 tickets at no less than $100 a ticket...and some up to $400+! Do the math!
