Car Crazy from birth
Thanks. Yeah, I was using my magnetic tray for parts, some of the hardware was not steel - maybe alum? These kind of things can be a pain sometimes, dealing with trying to remove and loosen 26 yr. old parts. They were not made out of very strong material to start with. Let us know how it goes with the new motor assy!
Looks like some of that disimilar-metal type corrosion on all of the small screws that broke... I'm guessing that the guys who designed this were not thinking about me trying to repair anything 1/4 of a century down the road
Of course there is no telling what this car has lived thru in its 26 years and 57K miles, either.
I think that the parts are shipping in from the west coast, so it will be a while until I get this finished up...
Robert, I usually say that a project went well if nothing broke and there was no blood - so I suppose today things only went 1/2 well
