Head stud kit

I'm pretty sure they wont. I used the ARP bolts when I built mine and they are different in length from what's used on the GN.

A few people used the studs but I think most people opted for bolts as you will not be able to take the heads off (I unerstand) with engine in the car if you use stuf (heads have to be pulled straight up and hits the lip on the firewall) ... but I could be wrong ...

Anyone out there using studs?
 
i would like to know about this too. i got my heads off and boxed up with the intake to go to champion. the car has arp bolts and i thought about going with studs.
 
Well I have studs on them now with everything in the car. They have the bolt around the stud and the stud itself has an Allan key spot to untwist the stud out while head is still on block. This is an assumption though as I do not know if they will come out with heads on as I have not tried and the engine builder put this motor together. I am wanting to remove heads and get new studs and was thinking of buying the gn ones from rjc. Although I think you can reuse studs??? Or do you have to have new ones??

The reason I ask is I am hoping to get some new ported heads.

Pulling the studs out with the Allen is a PITA but doable ...

The GN ones are different and they wont work ...

IVe always used the ARP head bolts for all my TTA builds and have yet to see the need for studs.. . Head bolts seal just fine .. even on 10 second cars..
