GM Hood Insulator Part Number for the TTA?

Called my GM guy today and he said there is 2 part numbers for them. Thinking about getting one and putting it away as they tend to go to hell fast and by the time I'll need one they will be gone! Let me know if anyone ever ran across the GM part number for it. Thanks!

As far as I'm aware they been discontinued from GM a number of years ago, I tried getting one but in the end bought a aftermarket from Carmotorsports.com, also looked at some reproductions but they are all crap nothing like the original GM one.

Hmm do you happen to know the GM part number Jan? I have my guy looking into it now but he said 2 came up when he looked it up so I figure if I found the GM part number I could narrow it down before I called him.

Ok thanks Jan! I might have found a few of those on one of my locators. I'll let you know if I get lucky and find a few!

Jim let me know if you find any more of them if they're the correct ones. I really need one and have been looking for a while. I bought one on Ebay once that claimed to have come off a 4k mile car and in perfect condition, the guy folded it in half and put it in the box to send it. When I got it out not only was it ripped at the fold but it had stains from the condensor and other marks all over it.

Well I got it today.. it will work but it's got a cut out near the center for something on a Formula I guess. I'll snap some pics and post it tomorrow and you can decide if you want it. All the bumps and humps are in the right spots just this cut out. I'll keep trying. The nice part is it's black and looks much better then the original one! Stand by for pics!

Just a few ods and ends. More stuff for the Grand National. :) I'm always needing things for that car! :x Here is the picture of the pad. It's got the cut out for the formula but it should still work on a TTA. I guess if you don't care it's better then nothing or a torn up one. Have a look..

How much was it? If it's not too badly priced I might go ahead and pick one up. What's the part number on it? Are you planning on ordering the other pn too to check and see if it works?

Let me get the invoice and see what this one was. I'll ship it to you if you want. The other part number is dead. Still checking on the locator but it don't look good but I won't give up. The invoice is over at my garage I'll grab it later tonight or tomorrow and let you know. My hood liner is mint. I just wanted one to put away as they go to hell quick. I'm not going to keep this one being it's not the same.

I paid $38.00 for it. If you want I'll sell you this one for that plus shipping. I'll even toss in the invoice. It's a little cheaper on GMpartsdirect but they don't ship hood pads. Let me know! [email protected]
