Fuel Mileage - What do you daily drivers/heavy use folks get..

Just wondering what kinda numbers you guys who daily drive them or drive them a lot get. I went to show that was about 60 miles away over the summer. I was amazed how low the rpm's drop once your crusin along on OD. It didn't burn hardly any fuel. It's so nice to have a car with all that performance and get killer fuel economy as well! :headbang:
 
A little off topic but close. Many years ago when we moved from El Paso to Carson City, about 1150 miles, I drove a U-Haul towing a flat bed with the GTO on it and that U-Haul got really sucky mileage. However, my wife drove the GN ,which was loaded in the rear seat and the trunk, and drove behind me. This platoon formation did not enable her much oppurtunity to invoke boost and she hates to use cruise control- she averaged over 33 mpg. I swore she somehow attached the GN to the back of the flat bed and drafted me all the way- she swears this was not the case. Aint technology wonderful.

HAHAHAHAAH I'm going to gas my car up right now to prove to you guys it gets the worst mileage of any LC2. I was going to post this thread tomorrow, but now I must gas up.

:offtopic: My daily driver, a 40th Aniv. :idea5: Bonnie SSEi gets low to mid 20s city and high 20s to low 30s highway. I just had a new high of 32+mpg with over 140k on the clock. :eeks: Gotta love the 3.8L V6, in turbo or supercharged versions!

My TTA would get low 20s highway if I was keeping it in the double digits. Longest road trip was to the TA Nats and back from Chicago at the time. After about 2 hours or so I would typically have to stop to stretch my legs.
 
K here are the crappy numbers. Went 138 miles on this tank. 82 of them were highway cruise set at 1975 RPM's according to scanmaster...

Filled up with just over 11 gallons...Take it as you like, but that is downright crappy.

When I daily drove my TTA, I would get 16mpg in town and on the Interstate 24mpg doing 80mph! low 11's @ 120

Sorry to reopen this thread...
but I'm averaging around 14-15mpg regardless how I drive. Anyone else similar? Fairly stock set-up with TT chip, 206 roller cam, Harland rockers, 3" Catback, Ported Heads/Intake. My BLM's are usually in the low 120's cruising.
 
70gtq .20 over je rods head work 212/212 cam non lock up converter here to Charoltte nc I got 22-23mpg .... hauled TTA#299 down last weekend got 16.5 with the crew cab 05 dmax pulling the tta on a featherlite open trailer
 
My TTA has just a few mild mods and gets 21 mpg average with combined driving. I drive it a little hard but I don't race it. I've not clocked my new turbo tweak chip yet.

just got the TT chip installed and hopin to get the scanmaster installed this weekend. after the tune is close. I'm gonna see what the kid is getting with his
 
I haven't figured out MPG recently, but on a highway trip, I usually get mid 20's MPG. I'm usually pretty deep in the pedal too along the, gotta have fun. I'm pretty much all stock with the exception of a TT chip for stock setup, high flow cat (actually a fake cat that's wide open), 2 1/2" exhaust cat back to Magnaflow muffler and stock tips.
 
Soooo....went on a 600 mile trip. Highway I'm actually getting 24 mpg! :)
This is definitely a Jeckll and Hyde car! Around town I've been getting 14-16
