Exhaust parts

Since I am painfully aware that the exhaust on my car was improperly serviced, I'm looking for stock components. Particularly, the flex pipe section. Catalytic converter (Magnaflow 36438) and cat-back can be purchased aftermarket.

Does anyone have one they'd be willing to part with? 4-bolt flange required.

How does the flex pipe attach to the downpipe?

Is anyone still making aftermarket downpipes for our cars? Do they require modification other than replacing the stock down pipe?

Is the GN flex pipe section the same or similar?

Attached is a picture of a NOS TTA flexpipe and no it's not the same as on a GN.

The flexbit you can get pretty much anywhere also in stainless the end bits are standard bends so you can get this made really easily.

The side towards the downpipe (engine side) slips ontop of the DP then just a normal clamp around it so that end of the pipe is enlarged other end slides into the cat.

It is staight forward, I had one done identical to this but in 3" and stainless to fit my THDP downpipe.

Thanks Jan, are aftermarket downpipes still available for TTAs?

My cat is welded on both ends, I'd like to be able to clamp it in place instead. For easy replacement/installation.

While catalytic converter theft is a problem in California, my TTA sits so low (sagging springs, another thing to replace) I don't expect it to be a problem for me.

Thanks Jan. I was going through the PAS website and found some really helpful photos of the exhaust system, looks like the cat is clamped on. I wonder how difficult it will be to have parts returned to stock.

I just found the NOS OEM one I have, but I am not sure I want to part with it either. I really want to get a four post lift for my garage and selling this would get the funds started I bet. I will take offers, but not sure what is a good reasonable price for it.
