Drove under an SUV today...

Maybe I'm not remembering the conversation right then. Or maybe the guy I talked to was looking at the wrong pulleys he had in stock. I'll give him a call Monday and check...

Right, well obviously this all got taken care of. I got it running again, and got it all nice and repainted. It looked fantastic.

Then this happened less than a week ago.

And now it looks like this.

By getting hit by many, many of these.

So, July 2nd I'm taking it to a State Farm crisis center along with three of our other cars to get evaluated. (That's the soonest we can be seen. They're quite busy, you see.)

Bummer ! Saw clips of that storm on the news. Hope they can fix your TTA up to your satisfaction. We get hail here, but have never seen anything that size in these parts.

Mine got beat the day after I got it. Got it on Sat. and couldn't get insurance till monday so of course we had baseball sized hail sunday night...

Hope it turns out good!

It's funny, a few blocks down, there was no hail. And a few minutes drive in the other direction it was so bad that a lot of cars had their glass busted. A local mall had their skylights blown out. The storm totalled some of my friends' cars. Last estimate I heard was two billion dollars in damage, a new record blowing the old one by almost twice as much. This was truly brutal.

Ouch that hurt just watching the video, feel for you .... never seen hail that size (luckily as I got two of our cars parked outdoors) ... hope you get it all sorted.

Sorry to hear of your misfortunate incident. Hope you get everything straightened out. The worst hail storm I remember around here was back in the late 90's. It happened just as school was letting out. My sons bus was caught in it and it broke out the bus windows. All the kids were crying (elementary age). Everyone within a square mile or so of my neighborhood got new roofs. It was pretty traumatic.

Thats a bummer MAN. My sister got caught in the St Louis storm a month or so back. Every panel, but two, on a 6K mile 2013 vehicle. Good Luck with the insurance co, hope you get a car guy or gal.

Sorry to see that.
I worry about that as well, living in the high desert here in Northern Arizona.
Granted, my 20th TTA sits in the garage, as well as one other car, but I've got 8 other vehicles sitting outside, including four other Trans Ams.
I bought 6 big moving pads, just in case, and I am always ready to run out side, and throw them onto a car or two.
Got a Army helmet ready to, in case they are big. ;)
Good luck with everything.

This storm was so sudden, there was no time to react. It was a hot, sunny day one minute then the air was thick with huge frozen rocks the next. We had just gone outside to shuffle cars around when it began.

Despite the damage, it was one of the coolest, awe inspiring things I've ever seen. Almost worth the $500 deductible... Almost.

MAN! you have bad luck....you must live on top an ancient Indian burial ground.

George...what are you worried about hurting, your head? I heard you lost your marbles a Looooong time ago! :WOOT:

Sorry about that hail storm, especially after just having the car fixed.

I've seen hail storms like that before. it is pretty awesome as long as the cars are in the garage.. Sorry about the crash too.. At least you were ok..

sounds like u have a black cloud following u like me

It seems that way, I admit. I just broke my coil pack trying to connect it to a new ignition module. The wiring, according to the instructional diagrams, can be done two ways depending on which of the two variants of the ignition module I got is. Neither wiring setup was the same as my old module, and neither one worked. Eventually a tab broke on the coil pack while I was trying different wiring combos. Either I never got the right one or the ignition module isn't my problem.

I took it to a shop to see if they had any insight on the bad engine miss problem I've been having. It ran perfectly for them both times they took it out. Oh well.

Those are little stones in the video, no stones like that in your hand on video? If that would have been falling on your car all the windows would be smashed out, luckily that didn't happen. Texas is well known for its hail stones, my wife was working Mayfest (festival on the river banks) here in May of 1995 when a freak hail storm blew up on them. No shelter and their cars were blocks away, her convertible top was shredded as well as the leather interior, worse was her body, was bruised and bloodied all over her back as she pretty much laid over her 10 year old daughter. Suffered several minor concussions from it, they were picked up in the middle of it by a van just driving through the park trying to pack in as many people as possible with all the windows busted out. Luckily that is not so bad of damage as it could have been, get some fresh paint now :)

The hail in the video exploded upon contact with the concrete and cars. The one in the picture was picked up off the grass. The ones that hit soft ground didn't explode.
