Crazy Idea??

I have a 1987 Fiero GT with no motor or tranny, it has a ws6 setup and the body is in mint shape-My buddy is about to sell 3.8 turbo motor out of a wrecked T-Type.
Does anyone know if a 3.8 turbo can possibly fit in there along with the right tranny?
The car is very light and the thought of that motor in there really gets me thinking!
What a great sleeper that would be.
It's probbally just a crazy idea, but any thoughts would be great.

Hmmm...I think it can be done...would need a tranny from a FWD Century or maybe Riviera...cooling could be a challenge...but you wouldn't have to run much boost to be quick...hmmmmm....

I'd invest in tire stock now...lol...

I've seen it done. A guy had a Fiero Conversion at Bowling Green last year.
Total Buick GN drivetrain. He was running really fast. I think hi 11's low 12's on a conservative setup. Anyone from last year's Buick meet surely saw it.(philly? Quicky? you guys went, right?) I'll look for pics. Maybe it will be there again this May. I'll take pics. My bro Turbocharged the stock motor in his 88 Fiero GT, pretty fun till kaboom. Those are great vehicles, one with Buick GN guts would be an evil monster on the street.

I have seen them with LT1's at local car shows. But never the 3.8 turbo. That would be awesome if you can do it. Keep us posted

I've seen them with all kinds of V8s including a Northstar. I think Pontiac/Buick did a couple of prototypes back in the day with a SC 3.8 and even one with the turbo 3.8. Would be great in a straight line until you tried to turn it. Just my $.02.

I say go for it!
How much is the engine costing?
I am playing around with putting a different engine in another car of mine too.

:beach:

I'm having the the wrecked 87 T-Type towed over to my house on Saturday-I have a Honda Hurricane He was interested in, so we swapped out!! The back of the T-Type is smashed in from a rear end- Everything else is pretty good-87000 mile car- But the engine and tranny is in great shape!
I dont know where this is going to go but could get a little crazy, but if all works out-beware!!!
